Fun venue for the PDX live concerts. Food trucks are great and they have 3 beer tents set up so lines are minimal. Does get hot on the bricks with no shade, but pretty pleasant once the sun goes down!

It was great to be back in Portland and I love it downtown! It's been a couple years since I've been there and most of it was great like renting the scooters and going on walks to explore all the amazing stores but... it's not like it used to be, I understand a lot changed but it's still sad to see so many vacancies and the people struggling.. you can be in a really nice area and go a couple blocks and it's a different story so be careful where you wonder off .. I felt safe but watchful of my surroundings.. the best thing we did was rent the lime scooters and once you learn it you can go all day or night exploring for really cheap. Definitely going there again soon and the best prices on hotels too.. we stayed at the Hilton downtown and it was amazing and only $130 a night with valet parking and so close to everything. We loved it ❤️

There was a stage set up and and a Starbucks. Some cool art around. Supposed to be the heart of the city, but it was a super hot day and there wasn’t anyone other than the homeless there.

Really great spot for a concert. Less than 1500 capacity, convenient entry/exit, all gender bathrooms, bar lines moved easily, room to stand or sit (bring a cushion). Sound quality was very good. Had a much more intimate feel than larger/indoor events. Daylight show was nice. Tenacious D rocked!

Yes, only for a couple of days
I think something like 10,000+. You can actually buy one and have your name inscribed on one of the bricks. The money goes to maintenance of the Square and I believe other parks and sites in portland. Either way, you can be apart of the Heart and Center of Portland forever... Or until it is eother destroyed or repurposed. =P
The city has a website why you can find your bricks. It gives you the general area.
Yes they did
Right now, I would say the square is as safe as it normally is in the day. It have also switched over to having 24 hour security to help with some of the night activity.
U would contact-go into(?)-the office to check it out. The musical events I've seen appear to have been highly "produced"-with a full, lit up stage, etc. Good Luck! This is the right season to be looking into it! They used to do a noon-hour concert series that featured (of course) local musical talent AND they might still be doing Friday night summer movies at dusk that start of with a musical guest. In fact u may want to contact Portland Parks & Rec about doing a gig that kicks off their "Summer Movies in the Parks"-it may already be booked....but it's another way to showcase your musical talent! Have fun!
There are a few street parking spots and also a garage about 2 blocks away.
Check at the Pioneer Courthouse Square TRIMET office. If someone found it, they may have turned it in there. Best wishes, Demetrius.
Yes
Yes many different options and type's of hotels to choose from...from high end hotels to trendy urban type of hotel's...just depends on your style and taste of were you want to stay...I advise the water front hotels and too stay away from Burnside area...since homeless like to gather all around that area and there are several missions and shelters in that area...stay away from Amtrak and greyhound terminals...that is a high area for homeless and drugs with issues in that area.
City Hall.
That is a question you would probably have to ask city hall. I wouldn't advise it though as it is a high traffic area with max trains running by on all four sides of the block every 15 minutes or more often sometimes. Plus homeless and other undesirables that often frequent the area being loud and causing trouble. It's one of the most populous areas of the downtown corridor much of the year so you would probably need several ushers to help with the event. But as I said city hall would be the best place to address this request to. Hope this helps.
Parking meters and spots are all around there. It cost $2 per hour with a maximum of two hours.
