My hubby booked through Marriott Bonvoy for a 2night stay. We were definitely surprised to see the renovations and limited parking. I was not pleased with no mention of it so I asked to see the room first and glad I did! The rooms are not worth premium price, the elevator was broken, and the pool looked dirty and small. We quickly cancelled our reservation and found a much better ocean front Resort for roughly the same price! We did try to stay with Marriott but the manager said he was completely booked and didn’t even bother searching for another location. Oh well there loss not mine.

I usually don't leave 3 star reviews for Marriott but this is the exception for leaving a 3 star rating. I reserved a room for my parents and my kids. All the services were great, friendly customer service except for the very poor phone reception inside the Courtyard and in the parking lot. Trying to communicate with my parents and kids was atrocious do to the poor phone reception. I hope Management sees this review and addresses this issue with poor phone reception immediately. I'll be thinking twice before booking another reservation at this property. Maybe it has something to do with the location but as customer that is not my problem. Thanks- Phil

Well, let me start off by saying that they are definitely making improvements on this property. The renovations are coming along nicely. However, we arrived at 1:30am and there was absolutely NO parking.. People were parked in the grass and against the curb in front of the building. We had to move a cone and park near what appeared to be a small crane. We get into the room, that is extremely small eith popcorn ceiling that have seen better days and after getting settled we were greeted by a roach! That my husband had to kill!! I'm glad I wasn't by myself! We are paying over $800 total, there should not be any pest issues! I don't do bugs and don't live in a home with bugs so paying for accommodations with bugs is an issue!

Everything went good here. The room was clean and comfortable- no issues. Lobby was upkept and newly renovated. The rooms are a little outdated as far as the construction but all of the furniture in the rooms was up to date. Annis from the front was very personable, professional and helpful. He made sure to share things about the area and gave us brochures and coupon books that were appreciated. Kathy assisted with our departure and was friendly and polite. I am not sure who the barista was but he gave my brother a Starbucks coffee on the house. I would recommend this hotel to any travelers interested. Very close to all of Myrtle Beach attractions.

It's a little over a mile, if i remember correctly. It's walkable distance wise but you'd probably want to drive, especially if you bring more than just a towel to the beach.
