A treasure trove of components, tools, computers, and industrial/scientific equipment. There are "brand new" (in packaging) vintage components and devices, great finds for computer/electronics collectors, and a ton of fun surprises that make you think if you could ever incorporate some previously unknown device/component into a project. Oh and the staff was nice and helpful. They are great about just letting you wander the place like a museum, but they always check to see if they can help you and it isn't hard to get a question answered . The most impressive part might be how they keep track of the incredibly diverse treasure hoard.

More cool stuff than you could ever need. I have new project inspiration every time I stop in here. Plan on spending about twice as much time as you think you need just looking around. Everyone here is always very helpful and friendly.

Love this place! They have everything you had no idea you needed. Plus they are awesome when it comes to trying to get kids to be creative and learn something new. My 7 year old will now get mad at me if I don't bring him with me.

I've saved many thousands of dollars shopping here!! No doubt!! Capacitors are between 5-15 cents for many values. Larger values 35-50c. Every passive compone you'd ever need!! I am here almost every single day. Resistors are dirt cheap. You can fill a bucket with parts, and it's actually rather difficult too break over $10 as parts are so cheap. Compared to anywhere online, you easily spend 1/4 or 75% the price at Surplus, compared to anywhere else. Amazing place!! Might be the only ones left like it!! My only complaint is that they raise their prices, just so they NEVER go out of business!! Some things are indeed too cheap!!

Consumer items? No. If your trying to unload a bunch of industrial grade stuff, yes. So if you want to sell us a laptop, we will decline. But if you bring us a bunch of capacitors or industrial hardware we will be interested.
Depends on what it is. Consumer stuff like tvs and laptops? No. If you want to bring us something surplus electronics related we would be much more interested
Surplus gizmos carries odds and ends. We don't always have specific items all the time, but we try to have lots of unusual and unique items.
You're looking for a kill-a-watt, and probably better off at Fry's. You might get lucky at Surplus Gizmos, but I'd expect anything like that to be gone in seconds
Not specifically.. but they do have 24v DC switching power supply's and with a proper circuit could charge batteries..
