Took good care of us for our Covid shots, especially the gentleman who played with my daughter while she was nervous about her second dose. I love the gift shop but the book I bought was about $10 more than I expected it to be.

Impossible to get customer service over the phone. The website contact form does not work. Text messages are ignored. I got a COVID shot with them in April and it's still (mid-December) not registered with the state means I can't get a vaccination certificate. The second shot I got at Walgreens is there since the certification system was introduced.

When Andy is working, this place is ship-shape and efficient. If he's not working, and just the lady with the long hair is running the place, don't bother coming in. Everything is disorganized and a mess if he is not in. When I came in for a flu shot there were 5 people in line. It took 2 hours to get a flu shot. Seems like no one has had a shot in the last 45 minutes. Covid or flu. People are starting to leave without getting their shot. Doesnt matter if you make an appointment or not, if Andy isn't running things, they are not organized.

The staff and volunteers distributing the vaccines are incredible and this review is not about them. It’s about the organization and general practices of Island Drug. Island Drug Oak Harbor couldn’t fill regular prescriptions reliably before the pandemic , so I shouldn’t be surprised that they continue to fumble the entire vaccine distribution process. They’re accepting appointments yet there’s just one line so it really doesn’t matter if you make one or not. You have to stand outside, exposed to the elements, closer than 6 feet, with zero information or direction. The phones and texting are completely down and have been for at least the last 3 days according to the Clinton branch who hasn’t been able to reach them and are unsure as to why.

We have the regular flu shot,currently awaiting our next shipment of the high dose aka over 65 flu shot. Hope this helps. No appointment scheduling necessary, you just walk in for that. Hope to see you soon and hope it helps!
She should sign up either way if she wants one. We got ours together & it was organized & easy after initial postponments .

My understanding is that you do need to book an appointment, but the guy entering the appointments in the calendar hadn't been able to get them all uploaded yet. I think he works checking people in for appointments all day and probably has to do the computer work after hours. Keep checking back. Or maybe call if it gets too close to time for the second shot.
I can't remember if they said they would contact us, but I do remember that you should get your 2nd shot of Pfizer 3 weeks after the first. It's 4 weeks for Moderna.
