If you want to go adopt a dog from this place, I would advise not. It’s in a very creepy location. As well as they have a stupid rule that makes their viewing to the dogs by appointment only and it’s not open to the public.

My daughter adopted a handsome guy, Luca! He has been a real joy to the family. The people there are great with the animals. Thank you for the sweet young guy!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF YOUR LOOKING TO REHOME YOUR DOG DO NOT SEND IT HERE!! My family and I were planning to move but couldn't take our two dogs along with us, so we brought them here in hope for them to find good loving homes... we went to the shelter a couple days ago and found out that they had put down our beautiful Siberian husky down due to biting a volunteer. Yes i am fully aware that a dog that has bitten someone has to be put down, BUT AFTER 3 STRIKES NOT ONE, and they could've called and told us that he had bitten someone and we could have taken him back and took full responsibility for the situation. We would've done ANYTHING for our dog to live, not die alone and scared with strangers surrounding him!! But no, not a single call or text message informing us that they had killed our dog, the lady that informed us also seemed so calm telling us and did not show a single hint of pityness. Our dog has NEVER been aggressive towards strangers or us and i have NEVER had a fear of my own dog biting someone or myself. Rocky (our dogs name) was already stressed and confused due to such a change in environment that this was probably the cause of his aggressiveness . My whole family has been devastated since we heard the news and the people we've told have said that what they did to our dog is illegal. The lady that gave us the terrible news also told us that they had put down 6 dogs in the last 6 months due to the same thing, and im 100% sure that they also didn't give any chances to the other dogs. You know I get it that places close but when someone is still here. I tried to save a mother cat and her five kittens. Due to the fact that my landlord won't allow me to have them because they was abandoned by their owners. So they couldn't be taken into the shelter because they are closed. I guess I will take them back home and see if they have a chance with the people that don't want them there. I don't know what these people are capable of. I feel sorry for the other animals that don't make it because their closed. I would give it less then one star if I could.

That's good
They have some in their lobby, but you can also check their thrift store
Pet pantry is available.
Are you sure she didn't get out through the dryer vent?
Heartland posts all found dogs on their website! Any stray from Benton county should go to Heartland. You can fill out a lost report there as well - we check those whenever we get a stray to look for matches. There is also a very active lost & found page on Facebook for Corvallis & Benton county.
Adoption fees for cats are based on age. Adult cats are $65 (aged 7 months to 7 years). Kittens (under 7 month) are $115. Everyone is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped etc.
16 to volunteer w/o being part of a 'youth camp' group or guardian.
I think it was $30 when I had to have my dog euthanized. They let me take him home to bury him, but they do have an option for cremation I think and spreading the ashes in an orchard. It might have cost $80 for that. I'm not 100% sure though.
Any time
Their services are a yearly thing for spay/neturing. Call and ask
Go to the website. All pictires of current animals that are available for adoption are on there!
To be honest, if you really cant afford to keep if, i would find it another good home. You still have to pay for food, and future medical bills and so on and im sure you know that. I believe in Salem there's a program to helo you with getting it fixed. But you might want to call the heartland humane society to see what they charge or other vets around you. But at the most you looking to spend $50+ depending on what they charge for shots, getting the cat fixed and the exam fee which is usually 30+ by itself. If you do want to find it a home, please charge a small fee so the kitten does go to a horrible person, and of course explain your story about why you cant keep the cat. Someone out there will give it a good home.
