I am beyond grateful for the care and coordination at DoveLewis. I especially appreciated their calm and consistent communication. I felt confident that my cat was cared for and safe. They run an amazingly smooth operation! Thank You for taking such good care of Strong Fox! π»

My sweet, perfect boy (Poe) came in Saturday night in extremely rough shape. Cost was a factor for me. The doctors and team did everything they could to keep cost down while making sure my boy was safe and cared for. He has since recovered and has the all-clear from our regular veterinarian. I just lost my other dog of 13 years 2 weeks ago, so I am forever grateful to the DLEAH team for saving my perfect man.

I've been taking my dog to DoveLewis' Specialty Department for the better part of two years now. Before, we were on a never ending cycle of sickness and flair ups followed by brief intermissions with other specialty hospitals. When I went to DoveLewis I found that the internal medicine staff was very attentive and actually takes the time to listen. For the passed two years of treatment, we've enjoyed longer bouts of wellness than before. I'm forever grateful for them and everything they have done for my dog. Thank you.

We had our first cardiologist appointment for our little cat at Dove Lewis and they exceeded our expectations. I was nervous about the noise because it is an emergency clinic, but the cardiology department is on a separate floor. Their waiting area was very quiet and calm. The front staff were awesome, they all seemed to be in a good mood. The assistant was attentive and made me feel at ease when she took our girl for her exam. Dr.Reynolds is amazing. She is knowledgeable, personable, and I felt like she really understood my concerns.

Question: may I ask what have you been using to treat the tumor. I have a shelty and a terrier with them and the vet has removed some but they just keep reoccurring.yhanks for any help.
Call them first but for those that qualify they can potentially provide financial assistance for a pet in a medical emergency
We are so sorry to hear about your dog eating some rocks. We do have a few opportunities for financial aid. We first recommend calling our emergency services team at 503-228-7281 and you can let them know that you have financial concerns. Our team can then provide more information about the options and qualifications. Thank you for contacting us!
Good advice from ahe other 2, but I want to add a bit. At 35 pounds that dog is probably fine with the onions, as long as it doesn't happen again. Their kidneys don't have an easy time with onions, but maybe mom-in-law used to feed her 15 pound Pomeranian onions, not knowing it was toxic to dogs. I assume dog felt sick later, but never enough for them to notice. So don't panic, but then again, different dogs react differently, so... Yes, vet. Just in case.
Take her to the vet IMMEDIATELY! DOVE LEWIS!
Your cat will probably need an exam by a doctor and do a quality of life check. If they feel it is appropriate and are comfortable then yes they will proceed with euthanasia.
Dove Lewis is an er so they are not based by appointments. It does sound like your baby needs to be seen. They are more than happy to have you come in for them to take initial vitals to try to access how urgently he needs to be seen. Be prepared for long waits for triage and to be evaluated by a doctor. The waits for a doctor to evaluate are anywhere for right away to 12-24 hours. To even days too be seen. This is all dependent on the triage evaluation and how critical you pet seems. They are very busy so they kindly ask for patience.
They aren't going to answer this kind of question here guy. You need to take your dog in to them to get him checked out
Dove Lewis dove offer what's called a "Humane Euthanization" for any suffering animal. That service is often comped for those living in poverty or experiencing financial distress.
All of there teeth?
I doubt Dove Lewis would admit a wild animal. Call them to be sure but I think their services are limited to companion animals. They also don't do wellness care, such as spay/neuter surgery.
I would call them. They'll be able to give you the best information about what to do.
DoveLewis has a donor supported fund that can pay for stray animal care. Once the cat recovers it will go to a county agency to hopefully find a forever home!
Yes, you can!
You need to take your dog in and have them look at it. Not eating or drinking is very serious.
Communal cremation is free( no ashes back) private cremation will cost you ( ashes back) and you can opt for home burial which is free( you take the body you can also take it somewhere for cremation if you want private that might be cheaper). They do free ink paw prints and fur clipping
I didnt realize this vet was in portland. We went to a 24hr vet last night . had blood work done along with xray and they gave her fluids with the exam we were sent hone around 1am woke up thos morning she was back to her chipper self jumping all over the place
No. Contact paw team or Oregon humane society
I don't know. Contact manufacturer and also call Dove Lewis and ask them. But the manufacturer should be able to answer your question.
I agree, call them and ask. They probably take CareCredit. It's a credit card for human dental, vets, and I think human medical. They have programs that if you pay it off in a certain amount of time like 12 months it is intrest free.
We drove up from Salem to get her in to be seen and she being looked at right now. Thank you! We called around Salem and no one could help us so thank you
Highly doubt that would answer this question online without seeing the animal. Take him in for a second opinion.
You definitely have to call in and ask that question to someone at the clinic
I am not a vet but any changes in urinary issues and increased thirst, I would bring your dog in. They will likely need to check blood or do ultra sound. Besr of luck β₯οΈ
I just Googled that if they get lodged they might cause issues within the intestines. One person recommends an immediate ER trip and another recommended 24 hour watch for passing of the rings and take the cat in if any changes like vomiting, diarrhea or lethargy are happening. I'm not at vet so I would maybe call Dove to see what they recommend β€οΈ
Take her in asap. DoveLewis also works with care credit to establish instant credit if needed. Wishing you and your chug the best. I'm not a vet but anytime blood is involved and you are alarmed, it's better to be safe than sorry xoxo Dove took great care of our cat that passed away in Jan.
Yes immediately
It is not a service that dove Lewis unless it needs to be addressed as an emergency. You can contact paw team they maybe able to help you. Ohs also had services to help
DoveLewis does not offer spay/neuter services.
Go to the vet, that sounds like he might be having an allergic reaction!
There is an option for no-cost euthanasia for cost conscious clients. This is through the donor funded Velvet Assistance Fund.
Don't go there try lynwood vet much better place
Dove lewis really tried to do all they could for my 16 year old catahoula. Pricey but caring.
It is an emergency clinic. Try a clinic in your area. Forest Heights Clinic is great
If you suspect your dog has been poisoned you should take your dog into Dove Lewis immediately. They are the best.
Unfortunately they do collect up front and are more spendy than a typical vet. Have you applied for care credit? Apply for vet help on the care credit website and they take that. With that you can do monthly payments. It's like a credit card so there will be a max. Also if he has had the fever for a few days can he wait to see his typical vet?
Vista Vet in Beaverton or Orchards Vet in Vancouver are the least expensive and most caring (for the money) of all vets. If you have an emergency, you can also go to Dove Lewis (they are great!) and sign up for Care Credit. That helps you pay any medical bill, whether animal or people. If it is not an emergency, the wait may be long, but if you are concerned, call one of the above mentioned. Neither place is a mass-produced big business. They are LOCAL vets who care.
I got my cat put to sleep for free by dove Lewis we were struggling with money and couldn't afford to have her put down she was so sick that she was to gone to be saved they helped my little girl rest in peace and not suffer for her final breaths..
I have had nothing but great experiences at Dove Lewis. Never have i felt like they didn't care about my animals.
Be sure to call ahead of time. In some cases they may have a vet on staff but not in that day. Depends on the vet specialise in. Personally they have work on my guinea pig, not out of the question
Take the dog in to the vet immediately, leaking blood isn't normal and shouldn't be cause for home remedies.
