Beautiful hotel but it annoyed me that they made me check in at the front desk “to verify my identify” after requesting a mobile key. Our flight arrived at 2:00 in the morning and then we had to wait 30 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. Why offer mobile check in and key if you make guests check in anyway?

There are many things that this hotel needs to do to live up to it's claim to be a "Luxury Resort" 4 star hotel. Starting with an in-room folder listing things like hotel amenities, restaurant hours and nearby attractions? Perhaps coffee service set up in the lobby for early risers? Sure they have Keuregs in the room if you are into powdered creamer and lid less and very small paper cups that go cold after 5 minutes. Breakfast time at the restaurant also left something to be desired. With less that half the tables occupied, there was only 1 clean table in the place which we took. 10 minutes later another couple had to bus a table before dining. About 15 minutes after placing our orders the waitress came by to "confirm" our orders and got everything wrong. The room was adequate but the bathroom was also lacking. There was barely enough room to hang up one set of wet towels. Some reviews have claimed to have no hot water. We did but we had to run the sink and shower both for nearly 10 minutes before the water was hot enough to shower. Not very ecologically friendly especially in the middle of the desert. One bright spot was the hotel staff. They were very friendly and eager to serve.

Beautiful hotel in the Biltmore area of Phoenix. Nice amenities. Great staff & service! The reception team & valet crew were very professional. Unfortunately, the spa here closed in 2019, but there are several options in close proximity to the property. I highly recommend The Camby as your 'home' away from home while in the valley.

Vestiges of the former Ritz Carlton still remain. A good gym. Decent restaurant. Pool is a large bathtub and many things showing their old age. Rooms are nice. Front Desk staff is bad. The Manager is 2 years removed from high school and seemed lost. It's a shame that cost cutting has gone so far. Location is excellent. Its a low 4 star soon to be 3 in my opinion.
