Nice staff. 24 hour emergency service. My pup was sick and I was able to get her seen same day. A bit of a wait but left with meds to help her get better.

I have had to bring my cat here a few times and they are so patient and supportive. They are often busy, and there will almost certainly be a line, but that is how urgent care goes- they're working hard and being thorough. While I never want to bring my cat here (because it means they're sick), this will always be my go-to spot for day-of treatment!

Our lil 15 yr old pom Boo was so sick he could barely lift his head ,we didn't know if he would make it through the night when we left him overnight at the hospital. He has made a full recovery and doing great. Thankyou Vet Chris Johnson. I sent my daughter there last week with her very sick 8 week old puppy. It took 2 visits 2 nights apart but they found he had a genetic auto immune disease and with steroids and antibiotics he is recovering quickly.

What amazing professionals! First off I live 30 min South of Bellingham and my local ER vet had a 5-6 hour wait. So I called AEC and the receptionist was so kind and listened. They said they would get our dog in right when I got there. Once I got there they came out within 10 min and was so kind taking my dog back. Given service for me was curbside they called me to give me updates on his condition and treatment plan/option. The Vet was again so kind and knowledgeable. Thankfully our dog was okay and I was there from start to finish in under 2 hours. I highly recommend even if you are not in the immediate area or even if you are. I also found their rates to be reasonable.

This is an emergency vet so they do have an emergency charge (in my experience wasn't crazy high) but if your pet needs urgent care please do not put it off - putting off an emergency can cost more money as well as your pets health and possibly life. If it is something you can wait for your primary, you will likely be better waiting since they know your pet better and won't have the extra charge.
Oh really? Wow... i never even thought about that idea. Thanks for your supreme enlightenment. Except that's not really helpful when its 7 pm at night, something unexpected happens out of nowhere and every vet is closed, and then you spend an hour calling every vet you can to try and see your animal, but they dont answer because they are closed. Thank god they all refer you to emergency vet clinic as a second option. A clinic that wont even take in rabbitts. Very helpful. Thanks.
