Fantastic neighborhood gym! Friendly and helpful staff and trainers. Limited amenities but literally the only gym in the neighborhood so very grateful we have them around!

Great place, great workout, mostly great staff. I use OT to pull out of a plateau, when its too icy, or too hot to run outside. I like the visual of the heart monitor as it inspires me to shoot to get to the orange and red and stay there for the entire class if possible. I've done 55 mins so I can do it safely. The visual helps with my personal ability to push. I know I don't achieve this on my own at the gym or on a run. Its a good incorporation of exercise and health balance for me.

In the four years I’ve been at Orangetheory, I’ve never gotten around to leaving a review. Oops. Beyond the excellent workout, high energy, fun playlists, and all that jazz — THE STAFF shines bright. The coaches keep me coming back because of their engagement and the people at the front desk that learn my name and remember life details always make me smile. The management is their own type of special. They understand the human factor and life’s complications. Whatever ethos they’re running in the studios is gold. I’m continually impressed. Daniel worked with me on a particularly confusing problem and went above and beyond. Extra kudos for doing what you do through the confusion of a global pandemic. And really, I’m so thankful.

The coaches at Lloyd Center in Portland, and really all the Portland studios, have been outstanding and are one of the main reasons I continue to go. They strike the right balance of pushing us but also recognizing that some of us there are not striving to hit PRs on every run, row, or lift. I particularly have to recognize Elissa from Lloyd Center and how she starts every class by having us check-in with ourselves on our energy level and what are our intentions for the class, as both are different for every person every day. I also am amazed at how well the coaches really get to know you. It's like having a personal trainer there for you. The coaches should get a great deal of credit for the success of OTF, for if it were not for them I'd have looked elsewhere a long time ago.

Questions & Answers

Are there showers available?

Anna Withington | Aug 17, 2018
Sefora C | Aug 17, 2018

Only 2 on-site and you kinda have to boogy out of class pretty quickly to catch one before it becomes occupied, like skip the cool down. If you can afford to pay more per month (don't know how much, sorry) you can get access to another shower area (with many more showers available) that's there in the complex somewhere.
