Historically I've not been a gym person. Never been highly into weight lifting or any kind of cycle training, I've always been a self-motivated runner, but never done a lot of cross training. This place is really changed my outlook on well-rounded exercise habits, I really genuinely enjoy this place. We are Portland Oregon Eastsiders and regularly attend both of the Powell and Goat Blocks locations. The staff is always super friendly, gets to know you on a first name basis, genuinely seems to enjoy their job and what they're doing for others, coaching you to be the best version of yourself. It's not the least expensive place, but I 100% feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Highly recommend!

Just started two months ago and I love it. Diverse workouts, easily catered to my fitness level, super encouraging environment!

I have been going to Orange Theory since 2016, and visited dozens of studios. OTF Powell is my favorite, and I'm so grateful to have them as my home Orange Theory. All the employees are upbeat, professional and know my name- it just opened but already feels like family. KaLee the manager answers all questions promptly and is so warm and welcoming. Coach Emily and Coach Arielle's classes are my favorite, with great playlists, and high energy. Coach Emily always pushes me to grab a heavier set of weights- I appreciate that she believes in me! Really you can sign up for any class, because every single coach will bring out your best self and offer an amazing workout. I also appreciate all the close attention to cleanliness and social distancing. OTF has brought a sense of peace and normalcy to this crazy year. Thanks guys!

depends on the studio... typically there are super early morning ones (5 am, 6 am, noon, 3 pm or so, 4 pm, 5 pm, 6pm) but the amount and extent of how early or late (I have not seen classes start later than about 6:15pm) depends on demand at a particular studio.
It’s our top priority to keep our staff and members safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. As recommendations and data change rapidly, our Medical Advisory Board is working hard to ensure studios follow CDC guidance, in addition to state and local government guidance. We recommend contacting your local studio for more information.
If you’ve already been doing Orangetheory and become pregnant, check with your doctor first. Our heart rate monitoring is a perfect way to keep an eye on your intensity as you progress through your pregnancy. If you are a few months into your pregnancy and haven’t been doing any sort of fitness training, wait until after you have your baby and we can help get you back into shape!
Absolutely. Our coaches are trained to provide options for each exercise on the floor, in addition to offering a low-impact bike and strider alternative in place of the treadmill for lower body injuries or orthopedic restrictions.
Of course. Orangetheory is geared toward ALL levels of fitness and everyone is free and encouraged to go at their own pace. We recommend trying a free introductory workout, then discussing any thoughts or questions you may have regarding your fitness goals, with your coach.
Splat Points indicate minutes spent in the orange and red zones. Aim for 12 or more Splat Points per class.
Orangetheory is 5 Zone heart rate based interval training using specifically designed and timed interval training blocks. During a workout, members focus on Zones 3, 4 and 5. The workouts are designed to produce 12 minutes or more in Zones 4 & 5 combined (to achieve the after burn) during the treadmill training portion of the workout.
We’ll ask that you arrive no more than 15 minutes before workout and avoid congregating in the lobby.
Book your first workout by signing up online or calling the Orangetheory studio most convenient for you. Once you have an Orangetheory Fitness membership, download the Orangetheory Fitness app. With the app you will be able to easily view schedules, book classes and get access to the latest intel.

Our workout room has a variety of equipment including treadmills (bikes and striders as alternatives), WaterRowers, and floor equipment including dumbbells, benches, TRX suspension trainers, medicine balls, BOSU trainers and AB Dollys.
Orangetheory is a 1-hour, full body workout, focused on training to build endurance, strength and power. We use heart rate-based interval training, which burns more calories post-workout than traditional exercise. When wearing our heart rate monitors, your real-time results are displayed on large screens throughout the studio. Intensity is based on your individual heart rate zones, making the workout effective for all fitness levels. To top it off, our fitness coaches lead the workout to prevent you from overtraining or undertraining.
OTbeat™ is our exclusive heart rate monitoring technology. Members have the unique experience of seeing real-time data during their workout, enabling them to push themselves to new limits. After class, they can then monitor their improvements through emailed results and by using the Orangetheory Fitness app.
Our rates and fees vary based on the studio, but your first workout is FREE. Contact your local studio to discuss pricing when you redeem your free workout!
