A few years ago, I found OTF while living in another city and loved it! I was an athlete when I was younger, rowed crew in college and worked with a nutritionist and body building coach in my early 20s so I'm very familiar with most of the OTF elements. I then moved to a place where there wasn't a studio so I made do at home and a love of extreme sports. I then slipped a disk in 2017, tore my rotator cuff in 2018, followed by Covid and a torn meniscus in 2020 and a pregnancy/ birth in 2021. Needless to say, I gained weight and my fitness suffered drastically. I recently picked Orange Theory back up thinking it would help me get some semblance of mobility and strength back, but it's just not as awesome as I remembered. The coaches really make it or break it for me and so far the ones at this location have not impressed me. The 3 I have been to seem young and a bit full of themselves and clueless as to how to coach people that aren't already fit. They offer very few modifiers which as a woman that gave birth 3 months ago is pretty frustrating! My core strength is practically gone and some of the floor moves are just too much. I've also heard one of them give blatantly wrong advise about rowing form. I could see this location not being very great/ downright harmful for someone with little fitness back ground. I still want to love OTF but I think I need to try some other coaches/ locations to really make it worth the expense.

What can I say...the Goat Blocks OTF have me hooked. Couldn't be happier with this gym, even though it is a big company you would never know it with all the amazing personal touches the staff and management go out of their way to do each and every time I'm there. They truly work hard on creating community and it sure feels like it. I like the design of this workout and it really works for me- from the best class time schedule to the effectiveness of the AMAZING coaches. Getting a report sent to my email about my work out is motivational, the ease of app scheduling is so convenient , and the music-music-music makes the hard class pass by before you know it. I'm so glad I finally found my fitness home base. Thanks Goats
