I lived here in the early 2000's. I was forced to move because of "visitors" refusing to leave AFTER I asked them to. I had even informed them they could only stay for 2 weeks. In order to stop the eviction I turned in my move out notice. I find it hard to believe that these apartments went from one of the best places to live to one of the worst. When I lived there, it was well cared for. My apartment was 5th floor in the building closest to the Broadway Bridge. My balcony faced the key card operated gate. There was no washer/dryer in the unit. There was a dishwasher. There was a laundry room in the building. You couldn't leave your laundry or someone would steal your clothes. GSL still managed the Yards when I lived there. The staff were borderline rude. I was accused of not paying my rent one month. Thank God I had TWO receipts to prove that I did. It turned out to be an error on the accountant's part. I would've stayed there because I really did like living there. But I think the management handled my situation in a very poor manner. They should've worked with me instead of against me. That's why I only gave two stars. I ended up homeless for 2 years because of it. FYI: The Yards at Union Station runs from the Broadway Bridge to the Naito Pkwy railroad crossing. It's all one complex. I lived there long enough to know this as they were just starting to break ground for building the newest addition. The leasing office for the whole thing is at 941 N. W. Naito Pkwy.

Since Bonni has become the new management person , the place has gone from bad to worst. The place is overrun by bedbugs and roaches. You will not get your deposit back. (They refused to give me my deposit back after the professional cleaning company left a shower curtain. (Seriously) Don’t trust the photos they have on Craigslist. I have attached what it really looks like. Random people lurk the halls and try to open apartment doors. A man was attempting to snatch little kids inside the building. There are aggressive animals, drug dealers and little to no help from The Yards staff. Do yourself a favor and keep looking. The price doesn’t outweigh the issues and problems you will have here.good luck getting any packages and they are ALWAYS CLOSED. EDIT: For the following response to the “other” Yards. First of all, Nick, your leasing manager, is one of the nastiest people I’ve ever dealt with. There are plenty of reviews that support this fact. Moreover, when I contacted your office about getting more information about the “other” leasing company. No one responded. For all the readers here- avoid “both” Yards. Both are beyond gross and the staff is so rude unless you’re paying rent or looking to view a place. Not a honest representation of the reality of these buildings. Stop trying to shift blame. No one buys it.

This is a truly awful place through and through. I often don't consider one star reviews a full representation of what the company is like, but please don't skip on what I have to say it will help you save time, energy, money and emotional energy in the long run. I lived in this building for about two years and from day one my experience was terrible. Being low income, I didn't have a ton of choices, and thought that I could just make it through. Looking back I wish I would have continued to search and found something else that could have worked because this place took all of my energy, time, ability to sleep and was like living in trauma with a truly god awful management company. A couple of fun things that happened to me while I lived here: 1. Countless unsafe people going in and out of the building, something that management will say that they "fixed" but nothing ever fixed this in the time that I lived here. 2. People screaming (not kidding) at all hours of the night, and the fire department shows up at least once every other month. 3. The walls are paper thin, any noise just echos through this place, you will hear fights, people screaming, etc. 4. The laundry room here is a joke. I think I had my stuff stolen 2-3 times? 5. You have to pay for a parking spot behind the building, it was something like $75 bucks a month and when your car gets broken into-good luck getting anything back. 6. My favorite event was when I was walking down the back steps of this building and was assaulted by another person. Even if you listen to nothing else I've said within this posting do EVERYTHING in you power to avoid working with Nick in the management office. I don't know what is up with him as a human being but I have never met anyone who takes more pleasure in watching people suffer than this man. From misfiling paperwork, to being difficult at every turn, to flat out just refusing to help people I can't tell you how many people I watched go away from his desk (in the middle) either upset or feeling like all their hopes and dreams had been crushed. I wish you best of luck in your adventures here, if you decide to move forward, and hopefully my advice can aid you in some way.

I have to be honest, I was so afraid to move to The Yards At Union Station because of the reviews. Myself and my husband lived there for a year and just moved out 03/2020. The staff was so friendly and always helped whenever I needed something. Every maintenance request was taken care of in a very timely manner. I have no complaints about this place. I parked 3 vehicles in the back loop parking and never once had an incident involving car prowlers. There is also homeless around the area and anytime I would see them on the property I would call security and they took care of it. I felt safe here. I am thankful to have rented from GSL properties and I would definitely recommend them to anyone searching for a place in the area. The price is cheap, the management has lots of experience, and the security is great!!

Right ya 2 beds under 1000 bucks good deal although you have to deal with some unruly people that don't live here
There are two different apartment communities that share the name The Yards at Union Station. This site is for the GSL side which is a conventional property with some units that are income restricted. All apartment buildings accept residents with disabilities, but some buildings are designed with better layouts than others for mobility. I'm sorry, but I do not have information on the IPM/HomeForward side.
