They went 16 months without fixing my A/C. I had to bother them for updates otherwise I'd never hear anything from them about the situation. Do not trust any of these units because if your A/C ever breaks and your window faces the subset, you are going to be in a living inferno. It was especially great during the Portland summer that saw 115F on multiple days.

Human urine in the elevators at The Yard this morning because anyone can access the building through the parking garage with no key fob :) This happens all the time!!!! Don’t be fooled by the comments from management saying they’ll address your concerns- they ignore the emails with concerns and refuse to address them. Also don’t be reassured by them saying they have security personnel because despite those claims there are never guards present through the night and the crime continues despite the “security”

I love living here at the Yard Apartments! The view in my room is spectacular. I can see the river from my bedroom and kitchen windows. The amenities are superb; especially the fifth-floor coworking space is my favorite place to hang out and get a lot of my work done. The staff is also nice and helpful. I strongly recommend Yard to anyone who is interested in Finding a nice apartment.

Was one of the first residents in the building and I have loved every moment of it. Even through the management change, the vibe may have changed but still warrants a five star review. The apartments are great quality and unique. Not your classic cookie cutter style apartments. It's way better to look across the river towards the downtown skyline than being in the middle of downtown having your windows stare out at another building. Sure parking is either very limited on the street or expensive in the garage.. But what were you honestly expecting living downtown? It's the same pricing as any other downtown area. Overall, any of the 'downside' qualities are just superficial and don't have much merit to overcome the fun and uniqueness that comes with living in the building.
