**If you have kids or a client don't bring them here. My overall experience is disappointing. I'm a native daytonian that booked a weekend stay but I had no idea it was this bad in this location. The rooms aren't cleaned so I suggest that you get some cleaning supplies before you check in. There will be stains on the furniture and on the bed. The comforter, sheets and mattress as well so bring you a sheet or comforter. The carpet may not be vacuumed so you may have to "borrow" one from them. The elevator is broken so you'll have to take the steps. There's only three stairways, on the front and back of building and next to the main office. If you have issues with mobility then you have to walk all the way there.I have a damaged heel. I was on the second floor, on the opposite side so that wasn't fun. There will be people loitering on the stairway and hanging out side. I know it's a hotel but keep this in mind if you have kids, pets or if your a woman. The building is run down. Paint peeling, cement crumbled, pool damaged, elevator broken, out dated appliance and furniture. TV may or may not work. Mine received stations and then would randomly cut off. Air conditioner had filters sitting on the outside, microwave knob was partially missing and the fridge was barely cold. Last night I stepped into what I hope has spilled syrup on the stairway and my sandal came off. I told the front desk about the leak and requested a first floor room. She told me to call back around 1pm after the cleaning lady was done to see if ones available. I will because I need a place to sleep but if they can't get me a 1st floor room then I'm leaving. I'm not paying $75 a night to stay in a place I don't feel comfortable. I'd rather sleep in my car.

This is no longer called the Red Lion Inn, but it's Baymont by Wyndham. Pool is closed and will ask when it will be opened (It's about to be July.) Quiet, safe, and a great price. Oddly, I find this the quietest hotel in Dayton so far, and better than the Radisson. (In terms of noise). I've stayed all over and this is my go to place from now on.

They actually turn their hot water off at night so if you would like to take a 3 a.m. shower just forget it because they're going to tell you that the hot water is out. When actually they turn it off every night. Also we had to get three different rooms before we were satisfied the first room had ants, and the bass on the shower nozzle came off as I was trying to get in the shower almost cut me and you can see right through the wall, then the second room was handicapped and when you took a shower it flooded the entire bathroom floor. Not the most pleasant experience that I've ever had in a hotel and sadly I went to this hotel because of the ratings very disappointed

It's small, but has the essentials for cardio.
I work there and actually check in isn't until 3 but again it depends on if we got rooms open.if we got like 10 rooms open and you have a reservation then you can check in before 3 if you don't have a reservation and we have less than 10 then you have to wait till 3 sorry so the best thing to do is get a reservation in.
