Despite all the melodramatic reviews, I booked a room here because it was the only affordable option for me and my large dog. Surprise! I got a clean, spacious room with a comfortable bed and chair, plus a big work surface. It was easy to plug in my laptop, and good lighting made working easy. All the walls were freshly painted. There was abundant hot water and plenty of clean towels. There was a pretty granite countertop plus complimentary soaps, shampoo, etc. Although yes, the place was busy on a Saturday night, I got very courteous service at the desk. Noise from other residents was minimal. As a old woman traveling alone, I never felt a moment's concern for my safety. Maybe not Dayton's fanciest accommodation -- but a safe, pleasant AND economical option for budget travelers like me.

Got a non smoking room, ended up smelling like smoke. Told coworkers where I stayed and they laughed. Yep. This place has a reputation, but the staff is friendly. No change available for the laundry rooms. Bring your own quarters if you're traveling.

I am truly sorry this was your experience. We are not designed for low income housing or homeless. We take our guests safety very seriously. If there are any issues, once made aware we will call the police and address it. We are currently undergoing a renovation where all rooms are being updated with new furniture, flooring, and fresh paint. I hope you will give us another chance to provide a better experience for you Mr. Hart why is this your reply to all your bad reviews? You should really be ashamed to blame the room quality on homeless and low income people. How about that you hire people that don't clean. .. .

Rented a room for the night since I'm stuck in the area until tomorrow. The room I was initially given had a TV that had broke and a sink that was leaking, but both issues were addressed promptly by allowing me to stay rather in the larger room next door at no extra cost. Wonderful and friendly staff who do what they can to give you a worthwhile stay. 5/5
