During Covid quarantine, I decided to write a children's book. I had no clue how to start nor what to do once I had written the story. I wanted to be an Independent publisher and a friend led me to Beaver's Pond Press. My experience could not have been better. Here is where they shine....1. Leadership and Staff are experienced, helpful, full of wisdom about publishing which made the process easier for me. 2. There is a great pool of illustrators to choose from. This allowed me to select whom I thought would be perfect to illustrate my book. 3. This company has a range of ways they can help. If you are on a budget with some publishing knowledge, you will like their menu offerings that allow you to select the areas in which you need their help. As for me, I chose it all since I had never published before! 4. I am a believer in quality, collaboration and communication...I found all of these qualities at Beaver's Pond Press.

My very first solo book project, in my life time, and have to admit I was some what overwhelmed, but the owner, and all of the staff put me at ease. I had looked at other publishers, but I really liked the local feel of Beaver's Pond, (and since I have a photo of a beaver in my book). I really appreciate the skill of my editor (Laurie), and the art director (Ryan) in the final completion of a very handsome hard cover edition, many thanks to all!
