Not the greatest experience living in this property. all the property managers seemed disconnected and never paid attention to any maintenance requests in the past 2 years. Giving 5 starts because it seems like with Patrick's arrival as the manager , things are looking to head towards the right direction as he cares about the residents at Royal York.

I've been living here for 2years now. The first year didn't go well at all but after Patrick arrived a lot of things changed very quickly. He has demonstrated that he really care about his tenants concerns. I want to thank him for making it more comfortable for me

Been living at Royal York for two years in March and really love the complex, the spacious rooms, plenty of parking and a cool courtyard in the back.

I resided there for 11 years~~~The building is falling apart~~~The elevator in the C building malfunctions often; people get stuck, the fire department comes to release them. Workers are hazardous; I sustained multiple injuries after falling over a mop bucket left unattended in elevator~~~ The ceiling in almost every unit leaks and are only patched up when they finally come to make repairs~~~The pipes are old and burst often, leaking down into other apartments {literally}~~~I directly experienced the ceiling problem where water leaked into my living room for 6 hours straight; my son and I resorted to using trash cans to collect it; this leakage awaken me early starting around 2:30 am~~~it was 7 o'clock morning before management could stop the leak and repair the burst pipe above me~~~Personal items were destroyed {rugs mildew} it was a terrible experience without compensation~~!The basement leaks from the ceiling and water seeps in through the floor when it rains~~~The garage have rats and water also seeps through the floor~~~ The heating system was terrible. During winter months, there is insufficient heat. Management resorted to the issuance of space heaters to tenants!!! A tenant space heater caught fire causing several tenants physical damage and hospitalization, myself included!! I will never make referrals for to anyone at this location~~~
