Good place to visit in case of hard times. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Has a gorgeous healing garden accessible indoors.

Not a good agency, cause many of my back issues! Based my payee for funds to get my licence, over a yr ago, but I got a no instead, now my back is twice as and with spasms, painful, I can't walk bare foot anymore, the back pain wakes me up twice a night, avg. Dr said if I would be been driving even a yr ago, I wouldn't have half of my issues, even asked recently to know avail, an in mental stability, unstable, cause my issues only getting worse! I don't expect the VA to see any of this wrong doung, nor do they care oh my arthritis is been getting worse, all this is in short! I'm all alone!

You can get an ID card at the VA hospital up on the hill that will allow you to be seen by the doctors.

Possibly. If the veteran's cause of death is due to a service connected disability or if the veteran served during a period of war and the surviving spouse's income is below the threshold.

My dad, a WWII vet, left me two copies of Stars and Stripes from 1918. Would like to give them to Vets agency that might have interest in them. Thanks

You could possibly contact The Veterans Memorial Coliseum and see if they would be interested, they are always looking to display patriotic history and the Coliseum would be a great place to add this memorabilia, but the VA might like one as well.

If a son was given the flag from his father's casket and while he was in the army his mother was killed when he made it home all was gone can his flag be replaced

If you are Veteran sir you rate a flag and I am sure if you go to the VA they would honor your dads flag if you can show proof of his service and death. I wish you the best,

My Father in law is a Korean War vet. He lives in assisted living here in Portland. Does the veterans administration help vets with their taxes? If so could they go to him ? Thank you

No, the VA doesn't help with doing taxes. The assisted living facility may offer help. Do a little research with your fingers.
