They are very kind and took great care of our cat. The vet was thorough and informative on the phone. It did take a long time, but that will be dependent on other cases that come in. It is understandable that life or death situations can cause you to have to wait longer. This is true of any ER whether for humans or animals. I would definitely use this ER again, but I hope that we never have the need to.

So very appreciative for the empathetic and professional care given to my senior cat. Within 48 hours my cat went from fine to nearly passing. I brought her from my vet who had her on IV and meds while trying to determine what was causing her to quickly go down hill. The vets at AA took over her care for the next 12 hours. They did so much to keep her alive with so much compassion as well as communicating with me. The communication meant so much to me as I've only had my cat 3 months. Thank you doctors and staff! My little girl is doing so much better. Yes, yes I recommend you place your trust in them.

I was here before the coronavirus with one of my pets and I went back because it was wonderful and the price was fair. I took yesterday another of my dogs....the place has changed a little bit. I'm sure it is because the virus...It was very difficult for me not to be able to go in with my dog and then waited for more that three hours without seeing whatever was going on.(my dog was born blind and she doesn't know what's going on. She can sniff and hear but being with other people could stress her out...also been created). But I can say.. I called in at least 3 or 4 times... they answered the phone super polite and kept me informed. I meet Dr. Parks over the phone...I didn't have the pleasure of meeting her in person. I think she is very capable, has the knowledge and the kindness to be where she is. The tech was super patient with me, I really appreciate it. I hope soon they can go to the normal way to make business where owners can go in with their pets. Also, meeting, in person, the Dr who is treating the dog would be a big relief to feel much more comfortable. I know everyone is different for some us it is important. I would recommend this place..... knowledge, cost, care and kindness is priceless.

I have been here numerous times for many years, as I worked with several rescues and also had pets of my own. Dr. Stanton is top notch and one of the kindest, most sincere vets ever. She is knowledgeable and I have found that she will tell it to you straight and not try to pad things with tests when there's no reason to do so. She has some other outstanding vets here too (shout out to Dr. Parks, among many more) and her office staff and techs are also empathic and helpful. It can get stressful here sometimes when it is busy and there are long waits at times, but care has been good. My only issue (if I were to have one) is the long waiting time with a sick pet in your vehicle; it can be difficult for a pet who's already ill to have to wait indefinitely in the car with you, especially if they are having symptoms. But there is a nice waiting room for humans if your animal is inside and you don't want to stay in the car. Anyhow, I felt compelled to write this review to thank Dr. Stanton specifically for last night. My personal dog has been fighting renal failure. It became painfully obvious last night he was doing badly so I went over. Dr. Stanton was to get off at midnight but she took the time to examine him, go over options with me, allow me the time to make a decision without rushing me, and then allow me the time I needed for what we were going to do. She stayed well after midnight, and in fact I learned that she actually needed to leave the clinic asap to go to a dire family emergency of her own, yet at NO point did she rush me or try to push me off in any way. Her support staff was also kind and caring during and after the process. Massive kudos to all who helped me last night even when dealing with their own issues. It was much appreciated more than you know.

My pug is 15 and had what appeared to be a seizure but now she can't move her back legs and today she won't go to bathroom or drink or eat. What can I do?

This is the best Animal ER in Pinellas County by far. Most reasonable prices. And very carrying helpful staff. And the Dr. is the best & very honest.

I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone in the office when they open to see if a paw print from a passed away pet is ready to pick up and I couldn’t get through to them and it’s something very dear to me to have the frame of my pet that passed.

They aren't open during the day. They are emergency after care hours. Maybe you are just missing them. After 5 on weekdays and 24 on weekends

Does pricing include treatment? Can they work on pricing without care credit? I have already been denied for that so I can't get it.

Ricky, We are disappointed to hear your experience was less than ideal. As an emergency practice we must treat the most critical cases first - regardless of cat or dog. We understand it can be frustrating to see other patients go first. However often people count their blessings when they see the other tragedies we treat and realize their pet is much more stable. If a patient is taken in before you it simply means, your pet is less critical. Please feel free to contact the office to speak with someone on our management team. Very Best, Chalice R.

There care my pet received here was exceptional — but I do need to speak to someone in a managerial position about some concerning behavior of a staff member. Is there a separate number to call? I don’t want to take up the emergency line.

Call the main number and ask to speak with the person who is in charge of staff. The Dr tends to have their hands full with medical issues regarding patients . Call and ask for the person who handels staffing. Hope all works out for you
