I just adopted my newest furry friend, Cooper (formerly Miney) from Canine Estates. I’m surprised at some of the negative reviews because this has been by far the BEST rescue I have adopted from. Canine Estates is not a shelter with open business hours. Like most rescues, their animals are at a foster home and any meet and greet needs to be scheduled ahead of time. Their adoption fee is a bargain price for what you get. Their animals are completely vetted (spayed & neutered) and up-to-date with their vaccines. Additionally, they send their pets home to their new families with a dog bed, bag of dog food, blankets, toys, treats, and a two month supply of flea and heart worm medicine (all brand new). I have never received such an elaborate goodie bag with an adoption ever. I live in Orlando and it was worth the 2.5 hour drive to Palm Harbor. I would highly recommend them.

I filled out an application looking for a friend for the pup that I have now and was declined within an hour. Provided no reason as to why. Attempted to contact as instructed by the email multiple times but never got through. I've attempted to reach out to them multiple times over the past year but was never able to speak with anyone so I really shouldn't have been surprised.

If you're thinking about adopting a dog from this place, I highly recommend you look elsewhere!! I applied for a puppy and because my "older" dogs hadn't had there yearly checkup yet and shots (they do have their rabies shots) I was turned down. I also received not once but, twice on how to take care of my senior dogs. They only ask for one vet reference. The majority of the other rescues ask for at least two. They also suggested I go to one of the county shelters because they're not as strict. These people insulted me way too many times and tried to back peddle. They told me I wouldn't be approved by the"majority of the rescue shelters. I've been approved by SEVERAL of them already. No one could present their credentials of being a vet. If you enjoy your intelligence being insulted, then by all means have at it. Try not to deal with Jessica

just food for thought sometimes these rescues are ran by volunteers meaning they work other jobs and have other lives and donate time energy and money. so calling and going there may have to be planned. do you want dog poo on floor and if you wanna help send them stuff they might need dog food beds money flea meds. if you wanna adopt set appt. on there time so they have time to get there dogs together and there place. just a thought. please dont get angry. thank god someone is looking out for these old babies. shelters would put them down. hope you all find your new pets god bless .

No, you need to directly contact one of the shelters or rescue organizations.
It varies depending on age. When I adopted my 2, my "senior" girl was a lower fee than the 2 yr old. I think Canine estates is the finest pet rescue anywhere.
They have all kind of rescue dogs.
Yes contact them if not contact me i will take her Eddie.bigapplepestcontrol.com
Yes you can. Canine Estate takes in smaller dogs.
