Comfortable, clean and quiet. Do reserve in advance tho. Room was cold but I run cold. Manager, note coffee maker in 119 is inoperable. Please empty dog waste receptacle.

The room was spacious, spotless, modern, and had good wifi, great if you need to work like I did. Was next to a few great food places and could easily park at the hotel and walk everywhere.

Excellent motel in the nice small town of John Day featuring clean rooms and linens, friendly staff, easy check in, and standard room amenities like mini fridge, WiFi, etc…. Sunset is also pet friendly without a fee, has in room Keurig machines, a good cable package, firm beds, comfortable pillows, and is in close proximity to many great restaurants, parks and a decent grocery store. The tub and shower in my room were particularly clean as were the floors. Rooms upstairs also have a front and back door. Highly recommended.

No complaints here. Was super easy to just call, and book the room. The staff / owners were very courteous, room was clean, beds are comfortable, stocked little Keurig coffee maker was great for the morning, and I liked having a fridge in the room for the leftovers from dinner across the street. They have been really fixed this place up, and all of that made for a nice experience. Two beds after taxes was right at $100 which is great. Whenever I travel to John Day in the future I'll be staying at the Sunset Inn, and I recommend anybody else looking to stay over do the same. Enjoy 😁
