I moved to the Collective in March. I gave a 4 star review because I genuinely like living here. The location is great and I feel very safe with the new security. My car has never been broken into which was a big concern when moving to Portland. Brayden helped me pick the best studio and helped make it as affordable as possible. He answered all of my questions and never sugar coded anything in regards to the apartment. Kayla and Mckenzie are super sweet and always helpful. The appliances are nice and modern. I love the view from my apartment and the amenities are great. With that being said, I’m slightly upset that they decided to do maintenance on the pool at the end of May and don’t expect it to be done until the end of the year. When I asked if I could upgrade to the top floor pool and potentially pay extra or when I asked if residents would be compensated because of the pool maintenance I was denied and never full explanation to why this wasn’t possible. I understand, however that is frustrating and would’ve liked more communication. I wasn’t informed of the pool maintenance when signing my lease and was only given a few days notice when it was going to be shut down. I can’t really speak to upper management and if they are helpful. Most of my other problems stem from the parking garage. I pay for a tandem spot and it is always taken. I struggle to find parking in the parking garage if I come home late. The parking fees seem very outrageous for not always having a guaranteed spot (especially the one I pay for specifically). I’ve emailed many times about the spot and have never been contacted. Anyways, I recommend living here overall for your first apartment or if you’re looking to go to PSU (which I am).

Best apartment I’ve lived in. Love location, it’s quiet, friendly and cool. The maintenance has been great, easy to pay everything and staff is nice. Trying to get all my friends from home to move here, lol

My friend Nai invited me over for an outdoor Jazz night event at The Collective. The event was super chill, and the food and atmosphere were great. There was plenty of room for small groups to hang out while distanced outside on the 4th floor deck 🙌🏼

An email was sent to all residents saying the mold only exists on the 2, 4, and 15th floor! Sorry, I should have clarified in my past review! The building is also not safe! Residents have had knifes pulled on them by non residents inside the building! FACT. I will write a review everyday if they continue to hide the peoples real experience with this building. The leasing office has a locked room with residents packages, only employees can get in. Regardless, 2 of my packages from Nike were delivered, when I went to pick them up, one of the employees said "I saw it in there yesterday, the one with the Nike tape right?". The package was gone.
