Our room is spacious and a curious mix of updates (wood floor laminate and a gas fireplace) and dated decorations and kitchen area. The best part is that it looks right on the Deschutes River! The young woman at the front desk was courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. But maintenance appears way behind needed upkeep and painting. The price was right midweek, though!

Way better than I expected. Growing up around the area I always passed by the Shilo but never stayed. This past weekend was the time, and we arrived to find they upgraded our room to a way better one without saying anything. They were super cool about it and we had a fancy bathtub in the middle of our room. The place was beautiful, it was clean, and it was relaxing. Would come back.

The rooms are nice and I like them, but aren't too clean. They are clean enough, but when I arrived there were crumbs all over the office chair and fries on the floor under the desk. Since I've been traveling a lot lately I check the beds for bed bugs. The fitted sheet was inside out so I wondered if they flip it and re use it. Not sure, but there were stains on the sheets and blankets on some parts. I ended up taking the fitted sheet off the bed. I found a spider in bed with me. He was small, and I know spiders happen. The decorative pillows on the bed were dirty. Had crusty stained food on them and I threw those to the floor. There is no complimentary breakfast right now and I'm unsure why and they say the pool closes at 11, but it was closed when I went before then. It looked nice with two jacuzzis next to it, all indoor. There is also an outdoor pool onsite, but I didn't visit it. The room is quite large and roomy in my opinion with a mini fridge and bar with a sink as well as a large vanity separate from the toilet and shower. There is also a fireplace, couch and dining area with table. Oh and there is a backdoor leading to a patio with a nice view of the river. A chair is provided out there to relax on.

Our room was absolutely disgusting, from satins on carpet, ceiling, and woodwork to messes and spots that had clearly just not been wiped down this room they were charging upwards of $300 a night for was a huge disappointment. The carpet was coming apart and where it met the tile it was bad enough that it hurt my foot when I stepped on it by accident. Everything in the room was out dated, and there were still hairs on the tub. When I brought all this to the attention of the front desk I was told my options were to either deal with it or find somewhere else to go. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone ever. Would've gone with zero stars if that was an option.

We were only there 2 nights. The River House next door was excellent. Not too pricey. There was a Shari's across the street. As we did not have a car we had to walk so I don't know what is farther out. Google is a good resource for looking what is avalable and how far.
Not aware sorry.
