The person at the door would not allow me to go in to look around.. She also told me that I could not join. She did try really hard to get me to commit to coming for a paid session though. I would have given it no stars but I Accidentally hit the star and could not erase it

Over priced, unbelievable contracts (likely illegal,) unprofessional people. Please don’t give this place your money. I signed up for personal training and a membership despite the fact that both of the services are overpriced for what they provide (hardly any amenities). Tried to cancel the contract as I couldn’t afford it anymore and of course the answer was no. Then when the second shutdown hit and the gym wasn’t even open they were still billing me upwards of $500 a month for personal training and the facility membership. I was forced to get my attorney involved to get them to stop billing me at least for the time when they literally could not provide the services in their contract. Immediately after things opened up they resumed billing without contacting myself or my attorney. I am still being billed without receiving the personal training (not that I would accept it at this point.) Overall training seemed unplanned and sort of winged every time. Nutritionist didn’t contact me until months in. Multiple sessions were missed in the beginning simply due to incompetence. Should’ve read the fine print. I would not be surprised if a class action suit came out soon against these guys. If not, I will probably work something up with my attorney. DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR MONEY!

We cancelled my sons membership in the middle of 2018 yet the owner continued to bill us. We have repeatedly tried to stop the billing through phone calls, sent registered letters, got the 3rd party accounting firm who represent him to send registered letters on our behalf to put a stop to the continued billing. All documented and all unsuccessful. Now, the owner has sent my 13-year old son to collections based on the owner's own error and absolute disregard for ethical business practices. Unprofessional, unresponsive, unethical. It's a shame I have to even give him one star. Owner should be ashamed.

Update 01/2018 Here is what I know: The prior owners moved the gym to a new build out in Lake Oswego... 5 minutes down the road from this location. I went with them, but convenience (less driving) eventually won out and brought me back to this location (so very Portland of me, I know). The problem is, I don't know who bought the location or the franchise rights or what - but they are never here. The place is nice enough, clean enough. It just misses the personal touches that the old owners brought. It's a gym. It has machines. Honestly, I went back to the new space in LO. Partially because this space is boring, but mostly out of loyalty to the old owners. They rock! Always with a smile, always there (it seems), and they run a tight ship. Further honesty, I do come in to this location some nights when either gym would be empty. But, it's not my "home gym" so to speak.
