Really helpful librarians, lots of signs and not confusing when looking for books you just walk to the specific section and get the book. Its also close so I can bike or run there easily.

One of Happy Valley's best municipal offerings! A decent sized book collection, very well thought out kid's section and excellent wifi/printing options for people at home without the means. Lots of programs and classes offered. (Had honestly forgot about the library until I needed it!)

This library is big and they do lots of fun things for the kids. Today they had a puppet show. They have read time for different ages and other fun activities. They have outstanding customer service. This is my favorite library.

As far as we know, the Lake Oswego Library is the only library in the Clackamas County with a 3D printer.
For purposes of consistency, libraries in Clackamas County use the name that is on a person's legal ID when setting up an account. Our system does have an option for adding a "preferred name", but that only applies to the first name.
We do not have a fax machine at this library. There are several free fax websites that you can use. FaxZero is one that PC Magazine recommends. The New York Times recommends HelloFax. If you want a traditional fax machine, Postal Annex (next to both Safeway and Fred Meyer on Sunnyside) offers that service.
Yes, the library building is closed to the public, but holds pick-ups are still available. Just stop by and give us a call with your card number when you get here and we will put your items out for you!
Clackamas County residents age 13 and older can get an eCard right away by applying here: https://lincc.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/lincc/search/registration/$N/SYMWS/true? Once you have an eCard, if you want to convert that to a full card, contact the library to set up a time to stop by and present your ID. We will give you a card at that time. More questions? Call us at 503-783-3456.
We are working on getting ready to reopen in a manner that is smart and safe, but don't have a date for that set at this time. In the meantime, items placed on hold can be picked up at the library by scheduling an appointment. Call the library to schedule a time when you are notified that your items are available.
At this time, we do not have any study rooms, we only have one large meeting room. Although the room is often in use, it is available for individuals or small groups too use when it isn't reserved. During the week leading up to finals week (starting today, 1/21/20) we have reserved the room as much as possible for students to use as a study hall.
Online is the easiest way to renew. Lincc.org
The Happy Valley Library does not offer notary services. Postal Annex and the UPS Store are local businesses that do offer that service.
