Had the best food experience here last night. Started with the crab dip special and a bottle of reisling. I should note that they only serve wine and beer, no cocktails. Then we ordered the salad composee, followed by an ahi tuna with cilantro sauce special, a salmon and crab meat special, the filet seafood trio (shrimp and lump crab with bearnaise), and the chicken Normandy. Every. Single. Thing. Was amazing. The sides for entrees are picked by the chef, so our table ended up with a couple orders of mashed potatoes and veggie succotash, bacon wrapped asparagus. We finished up the meal with some very strong and delicious cappuccino and Irish cream, and a French vanilla crème brûlée and triple chocolate mouse cake with a raspberry drizzle. Our server was fantastic, and said she had been working there for about 5 years. Honestly the entire staff was fabulous. Seeing how coordinated and efficient they were together throughout the night was so refreshing. The manager down to the host and bussers were all so friendly and professional. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very quaint, beautiful (its a renovated Victorian house with a lovely garden out back), and high end without feeling pretentious. There were a lot of children seated in the room we had (like multiple kids at every table besides our own), which was unusual considering the menu price points, but hey. Treat yo self. If you haven't been before I highly recommend getting a reservation a few days in advance. They turned away multiple groups at the door because they were all booked up for the night just in the short few minutes we waited on our table to be ready.

The food here was excellent! The service was excellent! The building is cute. My wife had she crab soup and I tried a few bites it was very good! The rolls were great much like I remeber from a place many many years ago with yummy rolls. I had the 6oz steak with crab on it. My wife ordered the coconut cake (desserts homemade here). Steak was great and cooked well. Crab on top was yummy. The dessert, I tried a few bites was good. The toll house dessert and kids tenders were good too (tried one bite). They also got a table of 8 in short notice calling for the following day, grant it limited times but we knew we'd make it work. I spoke with Angela I believe for the reservation. Our waitress was very nice and on point, though I don't recall her name. This place goes in the obx books....been trying many places here. We LOVED it and will be back! Please don't change! But shhhh keep it a quiet OBX gem! (Just kidding).

Fantastic experience!! My wife and I came to celebrate our one year anniversary and we're very pleased. The food was excellent, the environment was romantic, and the staff was kind and attentive. Also, the desserts were absolutely to die for! The waitress brought a tray of desserts to choose from and all of them looked amazing 😂 And to top it all off, the prices were incredibly reasonable, and I left thinking I honestly underpaid! Great spot, will definitely return!

A wonderful off the beaten path restaurant. The food was delicious, service was excellent. Atmosphere was very nice, we were able to have a conversation in a normal voice even though the dining area was almost at capacity. We will be heading back there on our next visit to the Outer Banks.

Most things at the beach are pretty flexible. We saw a guy in a sports coat, we saw people in jeans or shorts. I would say if you want to dress up then its a nice place to do it, but I wouldn't say you have to.
They do take reservations and it's recommended. I like to make them the first day we get into town. Priorities!
I agree. And you won't be disappointed. Best food on the OBX!!!
