I have been a hardcore player of Blacklight: Retribution since 2011. My most memorable moment was when I joined into a match and heard people talking over Voice Chat and the owner, JoshNeo, informed me it was a Melee Server. From that point on, I was hooked and played near every day. I was there through the so called "Drought" when some of the players were leaving, but we had weekly server restarts to keep the servers working relatively smooth and custom servers w/ voip to keep things interesting. In January of 2015 it was announced that BLR was under "new management" from a developer called "Builder Box", and that they were going to fix up the PC platform and add the PS4 content which we greatly wanted that consisted of a Compound Bow, a New Map & a New Hardsuit. They later renamed themselves to Hardsuit Labs... but upon investigating their site we found out that they were the same dev team that Zombie Studios was but with a different name and less staff which discouraged us a bit but we still had hope. They ported the PS4 version to PC and transferred our player data over which was less than efficient seeing as how many of us were missing items that we had on the previous version. The Custom Servers & Voice Chat were removed, ALL FORMS of ingame communication aside from Lobby Chat for when you're in a match was also removed, The only glitches they patched were ones that people never even complained about or reported and to top it all off... the servers were downgraded to 24 tick/s... CSGO's DM servers are set to 30 if that tells you anything. I understand that they are a small developing company, but if it was money problems they were having they could've just held a GoFundMe or a Kickstarter listing the changes they planned on implementing that I guarantee would've accrued enough to give the game a proper update instead of lying to its community promising things they couldn't deliver, saying the game is worked on daily when it isn't, telling people that the game is fine and that the problem is on their end when it clearly isn't and basically cutting ties with the community aside from one or two developers that still talk to people on twitter. The worst part out of all of this is that there isn't any real communication from HSL about the game. We don't even know what changes HSL did and didn't have control over seeing how they're signed with PSN & PWE so half of the players are taking the online game of "he said, she said" telephone as gospel and blaming HSL and the other half are blaming PWE. I love Blacklight to death, and I'll play it until the servers inevitably get shut down but I must offer some advice to Hardsuit Labs... Change Your Name. I think you would've been better off with "Builder Box" than a name that people can google and find out that your company is named after something from a game that you poorly managed after it having successfully operated fine for near 4 years. Honest Review, 2 stars. One for the years of playing the game among good friends that I still play with to this day, and the other for at least trying to make an effort at the start of the Parity Patch even though they were being criticized like crazy before hand for only letting a select few test Parity's content without gaining a good enough consensus as to how the community would react/accept the changes. Best Wishes, JOHNSMITH11.

Is sad to see one of the greatest free First Person Shooters being destroyed by you guys at Hardsuit Labs, hope you get back to your senses back when SIEGE existed on Blacklight Retribution and when you could rent or host a server with custom settings for the public to play in, without HRV or melee only, hope the game won't die before you lose all your (potential customers) players....

Ruined one of the best free to play FPS games Blacklight Retribution with their "parity patch". changed the game to be easier for console players and made it seem like some cheap console port, terrible decisions and terrible company.
