Wants to find pets good homes but then is adament that they only accept emails and they will likely never respond to you.

They were awesome and kind. We didn't end up getting a kitten through them because someone else got there before we did. Be aware that they don't actually have an appointment system. We tried to set up an appointment, but were told that they don't do them and just to come in. We drove over an hour to make it there so it was pretty disappointing. If you are looking to adopt from them get there before they open.

Adopting our kitten here was amazing and so pleasant. We got there first thing in the morning so we got to sit with the kittens for quite a bit. They gave us an excellent description of medical treatment history and what we would need going forward. Overall great experience and everyone was so pleasant to talk with

We adopted our cat Nemnem from homeward bound in March of last year, he was fixed and had all of his shots and was chipped. He is amazing! They do charge to adopt Nemnem was $100 but it was worth it considering he already had all the things done we would have had to do ourselves and he's healthy. However we rescued a dog from a bad situation and couldn't keep him and when I took him out to homeward bound they told me there is a waiting list and it would cost me $125 for them to take him. So I'm just not sure about that part.

Yes you have to pay to surrender animals. For adult cats with record its $25 and without its $35. Its also necessary to set up an appointment with Homeward Bound before surrendering an aninal
https://hbpets.org/adoptable-pets/ You can see a list of all their cats that are currently up for adoption here. The list can change often so I would check often.
Yes. However we cannot take donations of dog beds as we cannot wash them, nor do we take prescription foods. Thanks!
Of course you can! That would be awesome.
They usually have a wide variety of ages, but sometimes the supply can get fairly low. Can't imagine that being the case this time of year, though.
No they do not take animals. That's the county's job.
Think so
Yea I think so
Homeward Bound Pets does not TNR or trap animals. You would need to contact the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon.
No. You must go to the proper agency (depending on where the dog was found, Mac PD or Yamhill County Dog Control) to get the redemption papers, then you can come get your dog. Redemptions are not done past 5pm (when the shelter closes). Please call first so HBPets expects you.
I got my kitten from Pet Adoption Team (PET) in Sherwood and they are rescues from various environments. I think the price is based on age or special needs. I'm fairly confident it's the same with Homeward bound, but don't quote me...
Yes you do. But there is a small charge. I feel this fair due to care they give all animals that are left in their care.
I went to CAT ( cat adoption team ) in Sherwood so I can't help
You'll need to speak with a full-service vet clinic.

You would have to look on their website, but it would be best to go to the shelter and look because the website is ran by volunteers and not always current. You could also try the Newberg shelter.
We are here on Monday and Tuesday, we are just not open to the public. We use these days for extra animal care. Families are able to call in and make an appt to pick up their lost loved ones on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Yes. Provide proof of SSI, EBT, or etc. and they will give you a special rate and still the same great, professional service!
Not currently. You're more than welcome to call and keep checking back though.
Call them, we picked out a cat for 95.00. worth every dollar, he had shots, heath history and was fixed. Great staff, takes heathy and loving care of animals.
Yes. We do take cats in by appointment.
Homeward Bound outside of McMinnville is the oldest nonkill shelter in Oregon with amazing staff, leadership and Community
