Do you have to pay to surrender a stray cat if so how much. And how much does it cost to surrender my own cat. We don't have much money and we can't take care of these two cats! We just really need someone to take them.

Yes you have to pay to surrender animals. For adult cats with record its $25 and without its $35. Its also necessary to set up an appointment with Homeward Bound before surrendering an aninal

If you qualify for low income (such as recieving food stamps or housing) the surrender fee is $10. You must provide proof of low income which would be mail or a letterhead with your name on it. Otherwise yes, it is $35 without vet records, $25 with.

Call first and talk to them they will work with you.

No it doesn't cost to surrender an animal , but they would like you to donate. So donate some money to them that would have been used for a surrender fee. I don't think they take cats.

It is vital you set up an appointment because they don't always have space for a surrender.
