Ramirez is hands down the best little restaurant/store for any sort of Mexican food. I have used them for catering as well as pop in for just the tortillas.

Most of my visits to South Gate are to shop at the Dollar Tree. It is the best place to purchase items like; cards, tape, wrapping paper, gift bags and mylar balloons. I also occasionally stop at Jack n' the Box and Taco Bell. Both of which are a tasty choice for a quick bite. The coffee stand located in the parking lot makes delicious coffee, tea, smoothies and espresso drinks. Perfect for when you feel a need for an afternoon or early morning pick-me-up.
