What a blessing to be able to visit this church! I really enjoyed the service and bible study afterwards. The family here, welcomed me with open arms. When I'm in town, I'll definitely be back. Thank you Mountain View!!! In Christ, David.

This church is missing something. The second morning service wasn't half full. They rotated speakers, from singing, to announcements, to a brief commentary about, and introduction to the sermon, then the sermon, audience participation, and closing. The church has a large property in Tumwater. There are enough eager participants to fill all of the spots playing and singing on the stage. Some participants are definitely showman. It is good to see so many participating. However, some talk too fast, others to quiet, and some rambled. The sermon went well beyond the area it was introduced to cover. The subject was mentioned every so often, but would be lost again in the rambling. Apparently the idea is, "Lesser People", those that are not famous, superstar, or CEO. Lesser people are important contributors too. I think the idea is a multiple week effort to coerce the parishioners into involvement in service to this churches particular projects. There was very rudimentary psychology interspersed in the sermon. It was in a crude form of what is best described as an attempt at "reverse psychology." It is doubtful that I will be back for a second helping at "Mountain View," it was similar in many ways to other area churches. Not as comprehensive as some, but another attempt to maintain membership by entertaining the members, while giving shorter, less specific, pleasing messages, and passing the plate. Churches used to provide education to membership. Today the services are the same as they were for several years. Nothing other than an emphasis on 2- 3% of the meaningful information in tbe Bible. I believe membership, in chuches of all kinds, is down and declining because the churches do not give the membership anything substantive they can use to demonstrate a better life! The ability to demonstrate a better life as a direct result of the teaching of, and membership in, any particular church is what is missing. Isn't it?

I'm so proud to be involved in a church that supports the local community in many ways including hosting a 5K race to bring awareness to stop human trafficking. This church is family-friendly. The Gospel is preached. If you come visit, make sure to say hi! Pastor Amanda

Questions & Answers

Hello my family are looking for a church that is open to all kinds of walks of life, Also that is not harshly judgmental for others beliefs in this world. We are looking for a church that meet are beliefs. Is this church a Methodist church?
