A playground with the view of Charles River can never go wrong. Plus, the play structures are versatile and accommodating kids at different ages. It includes a giant climbing structure with a slide, a big rock with boulder/climbing options, marry go around, a wooden climbing structure, and a zip line! Also well maintained. This is really a neat place to stop by.

Hello there. You can park in the meters along adjacent Beacon Street (~2 min walk.) There is also a large parking garage under Boston Common (~5 min walk)
There is no parking along the Esplanade as it was designed as an URBAN riverfront pathway. It's not a drive-up park like in the suburbs except for special events (e.g. concerts) where they allow parking on the grass behind the Hatch Shell for workers and elderly and disabled attendees. However, just a short walk across the Arthur Fiedler Footbridge there is PLENTY of first-come-first-served metered parking in the Back Bay and Beacon Hill neighborhoods along Beacon St, Arlington St and Charles St. If you're lucky (and I mean EXTREMELY lucky!!) you can snag one of the free spots just on the other side of the Fiedler Bridge.
No. Garages at Boston common are where we usually go. 25 bucks or so to park.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings i Always seem to have luck finding a metered spot on Arlington Street, otherwise I would use the boston common parking garage on charles street, 5 minute walk to the park.
