This is a friendly tavern with an okay assortment of beer. The fish and chips and clam chowder was excellent! After you eat you can go across the street and take nice walk along the Narrows. I recommend the Beach Tavern.

We've been to this place a few times since we live only a mile away tonight 23 July 2022 Jennifer was great. However the bartender needs a class in customer service very rude and ignored us. I asked for a drink and she sharply said oh we don't have that and walked away. Now I understand why this place isn't busy on a Saturday night because they drive off customers. Maybe the owner needs to reevaluate their employees. The times I've been there I've always been polite and tipped well. We went over to UP Station which isn't far from here and they were so busy we couldn't be served in a timely manner. To me this says alot about Beach Tavern and the way the treat customers. Apparently the snobby service drives customers away. I sure know after tonight they have lost my business.

A Tacoma boy of almost 60 years, the Beach is one place I'll drive from Seattle for a beer. The other one is my mom's house. Good food, nice beer taps, and really nice staff. On one wall there is a tribute to my high school drama teacher, Ms. Betty Truit. Loved that lady. It's an honor to have a drink under her plaque.

This place has great variety and is FANTASTIC: food, service and friendly staff!!! Also, amazingly has take out, call ahead and order for your family to take home or enjoy in the park. Their Chef's are creative, we are never disappointed and always feel welcomed.
