I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Fort Worth in early May for a visit with friends and to attend a wedding. My room was very clean and well appointed. The bed linens were extremely comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. More than anything, I have to give the entire staff a huge shout out for their friendliness, quick responses to my questions and requests, and their protocols for protecting my safety such as not saying my room number out loud. I want to particularly recognize Jack who worked at the front desk. He was extremely kind to me and made my stay more peaceful and enjoyable. I am very happy with my choice of hotels and I will choose them again when I return to Fort Worth.

I booked this hotel before I booked the Hyatt Place nearby. I was concerned about the high number of 1 and 2 star reviews on Google and Trip Advisor. Many of them repeated the same issues. I contacted the hotel, and attempted to get an explanation, and then assurance that the management and staff would make sure I'd have a quality stay. All I got was "We'll do our best". And they wouldn't explain the numerous poor reviews. I decided to cancel my reservation, and book with the better rated Hyatt Place. I don't regret my decision. The Centreport Hampton Inn was great the 2 times I stayed there. So sad the Cityview location has so may poor reviews.

Our key pad to our door malfunctioned, locking us out of our room for 30 minutes while we waited in the hallway. The overnight front desk attendant is an amazing employee and was finally able to get us back into our room. The remaining evening/morning we had to make sure one of us stayed in the room or we would be locked out again since maintenance does not work over night. This ruined our plans to go and eat breakfast together this morning, and when it was brought to the morning managers attention she said there was nothing they could do for the inconvenience. We weren’t looking for a free night or anything major, just possibly a discount on the next night so we could stay one more evening but that was clearly out of the question.

I rate this a one star as it will not allow me to leave zero stars or minus stars. I checked into this hotel on Friday, May 6,2022. I was properly greeted and well treated upon check in. No issues. Saturday, May 7, 2022 my son and I woke up to a clogged toilet and no coffee in our room. I called the front desk and informed the clerk that the toilet was clogged. The front desk clerk abruptly and rudely told me that I could come down to the lobby and get the plunger and plunge my own toilet. I wan shocked and in disbelief. Thank God there were no floaters in the toilet. I left for the soccer tournament. At 6pm I returned to the hotel and informed the clerk who checked me in the day before about the clogged toilet. To which her response was shock and disbelief that it had not been taken care of when I had reported it that morning. She Informed me that she would be calling someone out immediately and profusely apologized. 10 minutes goes by and I take my son down to meet his soccer team at the pool. I stop to get a Diet Coke and some peanut m&m’s. A gentleman was behind the counter and stopped me to ask about my toilet and then proceeded to tell me no one was coming to fix the toilet. He eagerly and very happily offered me the “sanitized,” plunger over the counter to which my response was one of disbelief. Disgusted was an understatement. I look up and one of our soccer dads happen to walk up on this conversation. Soccer Dad for the win because the hotel was not going to do anything. Soccer Dad saved the day by unclogging the toilet. Oh and the Diet Coke and m &m’s-they were on the house for my troubles. Seriously, I can not make this up. Our soccer team traveled 4 hours to stay here. The rooms were not cheap and most of them smelled. To top it off, our soccer coach was approached on the 3rd floor outside of her room by a homeless man after she checked in. He asked if he could use her shower. This was reported to the front desk as well, they could have cared less…
