We had windows installed about 20 years ago, ten years later i'm redoing siding and the contractior has discovered how badly the installation was done, they cut off the flanges and used silicone to cover up gaps created, watergot in and damaged my framimg $8,500 to repair. horrible installation done by supposed experts. Useless. Maybe they got better but i have my doubts.

-- Edit: Craig's response about WES being in contact with me to resolve the issue is stretching the truth to put things mildly. Their idea of attempting to find a resolution was Charles calling me, telling me they can't install until September 25th and gave me either the option to wait until then or be refunded my initial deposit. After hearing every excuse contradicting with his initial sales pitch, I had no option but to take the refund and write this review. No other attempts were made to find an amicable solution. -- Don't waste your time with these folks. Their salesperson Charles will promise you the world to get you to sign and then fail to follow through. I signed a contract on 3/26 for a 3 zone setup and paid a $5000 deposit, while making it abundantly clear that I want this installed before the next heatwave. Charles told me that they're scheduling for end of June, supply chains wouldn't be an issue, and that the real bottleneck lies with the Seattle permitting process. (Did my research and found it only takes the city 3 weeks to process & approve a permit, they also had permits approved in my building a few weeks prior to my appointment). Charles was optimistic about their past experience in our building, and how they'd be able to install a 3 zone in my apartment. I asked him about the parts that seemed tricky (plumbing behind kitchen cabinets), but he said that it wouldn't be an issue at all. I signed the contract, paid $5000 and only after that he told me that they'll need to send an engineer out to see if it's possible to install a 3 zone. He told me he'd expedite it and the engineer would come around ASAP. A week later still with nothing scheduled, and I get a mail from WES saying that due to supply constraints they won't be able to schedule installs in advance, but need to do JIT scheduling. I called them up asking where the engineer was, and it turns out he's on holidays for another few weeks. I tried to cancel my contract because I signed for a 3 zone AC to be installed in July, and at this stage they couldn't guarantee me a July install or a 3 zone AC. Charles emailed the engineer a video of our house, and lo and behold the engineer said that installing a 3 zone would be more trouble than it's worth. He talked me into signing a single zone, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt and trust that he'll be able to get this installed for summer. June comes, and they incorrectly filed the permits for a 3 zone AC instead of a 1 zone. When it came to scheduling on June 23rd, it turns out only 2 people were qualified to install in my building and installation would only be possible on the 25th of September, 9 months after I signed. Charles previously worked with other units in my building, and should have been well aware of these constraints. He apologized for the install being delayed until autumn and gave me the option to cancel the contract. I essentially just gave them a $5000 interest free loan and they left me without AC for another summer.

I've never left a google review for anything or anyone before but I have to give a GLOWING review for my Washington Energy Services team especially Terran Miller who lead the installation team. First, it's not easy to spend a bundle on a new heating and cooling system. What we needed to put in to our 100+ year old house was complicated and pricey and I was nervous to say the least. But the final product is so professionally and artfully done (to work around the charming architecture of our house was not easy) I am no longer having second thoughts on the purchase. Even though the units weren't what we were expecting (they were bigger than we thought the would be) they fit the rooms they were installed in. Terran personally measured each wall, coordinated with me on exactly where they would look and work best and walked me through each cut and angle he had to do to make the outside cords and tubing most efficient. He even advised me on how to best paint the parts to make them the least noticeable - I learned a few tricks from him. Scheduling was tough with everyone trying to get cooling in before another scorching summer, and I have to thank Nikki and the installation team for working with us so our original install date could be kept. And everyone was so polite, truly helpful and caring. It might sound trite, but when you are spending thousand of dollars, even though it's not glamorous, it's really nice to be treated with that kind of respect and consideration. The whole team, from sales, inspection, scheduling and billing to electrical and install made us feel important and cared for. When the install was complete Terran walked me through every aspect of the use, care and maintenance or each part - from the individual cooling heads, filters and heat pump. I mean who would have thought that I should watch out for my dogs peeing too close... wouldn't have crossed my mind until it was too late. And when I mentioned that both of us struggle with summer allergies he came up with an air scrubbing solution that I would never have thought of using. I know Terran had a long drive ahead of him at the end of the day, but he stayed the extra time to make sure all the walls were clean, that I understood what I had just purchased and to thank me for my business. I actually was a bit sad when he left, I was so enjoying his company and enthusiasm for his work. Terran's team of Travis and David were as friends, considerate and kind as their lead was, and worked HARD. They came on time and were considerate of the neighbors and my need to work from home (meaning they worked their louder work around my schedule.) Overall I'd give this team 6 stars out of 5 if Google would let me.

Approximately 10 years ago I purchased a York Furnace from Washington Energy Service. I found the sale, delivery and installation to have been excellent. Subsequently, I bragged to several friends how well the experience went. Well after today, the bragging stops to be replaced with shaming. I called WES today to arrange for an annual furnace cleaning. In addition to the receptionist (person answering WES phone) being hard to hear (she spoke too softly) and very difficult to understand (she spoke too hurriedly), she was extremely rude. After finally agreeing that WES did annual furnace cleaning, I asked if the price included a filter to which she responded yes but only a 1 inch filter. I said my furnace required a 4 inch filter to which she repeated WES installs a 1 inch filter. I then asked if WES services products they sell to which the RECEPTIONIST THEN HUNG UP ON ME. Needless to say this was the last phone call I will make to Washington Energy Service. Based on this call today, I would not recommend Washington Energy Service. Too Bad they once were very good.

Washington Energy offers financing for most things.
No problem Cate! To reaffirm, unfortunately at this time we do not service portable air conditioners. Thanks so much for reaching out to us though! We're here if you have any questions about installed air conditioners. Cheers!
Yes. Call 1-800-398-HOME to schedule a service appointment.
Sorry, we only service whole house systems. A portable unit is outside of our expertise.
