One of my favorite discount stores, this location has ample parking and friendly employees. Good prices on foodstuffs, kitchen gadgets, furniture, vacuums, and seasonal goods And it's next to a Starbucks and a home Depot!

While waiting for some scary test results I took some solace having my morning cup of coffee in a beautiful, Have Faith Pfaltzgraf Floral mug I got from the Big Lots Frederick Location which has since become sentimental. With more tests coming up, my mug accidentally shattered and I was heartbroken. Since the stores usually only have one or two of an item I was surprised to find the mug at the Germantown location. But due to unforeseen circumstances, twice, I could not get down to the store until now until after the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. I called to have them hold it again and overhearing the call the store manager Adam remembered me and he got on the phone. I thought he was going to say the hold was too long and my mug would be put back on the shelf but to my surprise he said he would personally bring it to the Frederick Location himself, which is less than a mile away from our house. He knew I had wanted it as soon as possible to remind me to stay Strong before the upcoming tests and wished me the best of luck or positive results. After two hard years in isolation as a high risk family during the pandemic, my Faith in Humanity has been restored. Adam your act of kindness truly warmed my heart. You not only exemplify manager in the sense that you truly care about your customers, you exemplify Kindness in the true sense of the word. Thank you!
