Best library in the area. Great walking areas outside, huge selection of books, conference rooms, and a ton of reading areas. One thing to check out is the library of things. You can check out almost anything you can think of from a deep frier, baking pans, board games, movies, or video games. Definitely stop by and get your library card!

Best library ever. The makerspace is awesome, study rooms are always clean, so many books to choose from and a great sense of community. I love coming here to study, read, and spend my time! Highly recommend to anybody stopping by Hillsboro. The park behind the library is a great place to bring some seeds for ducks, bikes, or to get a walk/run in. Many bike racks to lock bikes up and areas to sit and read outside. I love this place!

Beautiful library with a Dawson Creek Park behind it. Lots of seating inside, big windows to see the park on both floors. Kids section & movies holds is downstairs, and non-fiction/fiction books & computers are upstairs. They also have a community crafting room with sewing machines and study rooms. Lots pf great resources for the community! Well paved park trail also goes around the neighboring buildings. Watch for duck droppings, but they are eager to be fed seeds (not bread).

I have always loved this library as an adult, it is my favorite. I took my grandkids today and it was so awesome. The creative room was incredible, so many arts, crafts and hands on activities. I had to bribe them with ice cream to get them to agree to leave. 🍦 What an incredible gift to our community.

It doesn't take long in person (15 minutes), but I would apply online first or call ahead! Hope this helps.
This year because of COVID I am not sure if they have tax service. You can check on their website www.wccls.org
All of the table lamps have outlets you can plug into.
The library will be open for its regular hours--10:00 am to 8:00 pm! All other city offices will be closed. Believe it or not, the saintly volunteer tax aides from AARP will also be at the library for their regular hours!
You can view e-books in ePub or Kindle format, to read in Libby app or Amazon Kindle app or e-readers. This includes many books in Spanish. But you cannot download books in PDF format. __________ You can check out ebooks in ePub or Kindle format, to be read in the Libby App or Amazon Kindle App or eReaders. No cost but you must stay present during your entire print job.
If you have a particular title in mind or want to search by some other criteria , the staff is usually more than happy to guide in using their search program
Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, due to the number of people allowed to gather at the library, the Hillsboro Library Friends (501 (3) (c)) have postponed their sale in April 2021. Follow them on Facebook @HillsboroLibraryFriends for the latest information and their online book sales.
I think yes... as they are quarantining the books which we return so in the same process they may accept.
Yes, it's closed, but you can put on hold books, dvs, games and things, and you can pick them up every day from noon to 6pm.
Hi Michael, your cd and any other checkouts you have will not accrue fines while the libraries are closed; but just to answer your question, yes you can renew your cd online. Go to the library's website, www.wccls.org and click "login." You'll sign in to your account using your library card barcode (that long number on the back of your card) and your password (the default password is the last four numbers of the phone number associated with your account). If you've never logged in before it might ask you to set up an account. Once you are logged in you can renew your items. Hope that helps! If you're on the library website, you might want to also check out overdrive and kanopy for ebooks, eaudio, and digital movies.
That would be 46, with a stop heading towards the Hillsboro Airport across the intersection, and the second stop (heading away) right next to the library entrance
Yes, there are printers and the price is pretty reasonable. You can ask the staffs to help you
You may place a hold online or ask a librarian at the library for help. They are even able to get books from other branches and sister libraries. They will send you a notification once the book on hold is at the location you asked for. The website is very useful.
Free with a free library card, but you'd better find your answer on the library's website: https://www.hillsboro-oregon.gov/departments/library
There is also an after hours drop slot for donations and 5 minute parking near the entrance to make donating easy any time of day.
