Wonderful trails with a great variety of birds, bunnies and botany.

Amazing gem of a place. Up until around 14 years ago this site was entirely a degrade field full of reed canary grass. It’s an amazing example of what is possible with restoration. Now it’s full of native communities including forested wetlands all of which have been planted and sustained over the last decade and a half. Great place to see wildlife, practice botany and enjoy nature!

A very nice place to visit. They have nice trails and great views of birds and other animals. The visitor center is also open and has a nice restroom if you need to stop.

I am not an expert but I looked around while I was there today. Parking lot is paved. The restroom at the lot that might be accessible is closed. An outhouse is provided, but it is not accessible. The path to the Education Center is concrete. There appear to be accessible restrooms inside the center available when it is open. Some of the paths around the center are relatively flat and covered with fine gravel which should be accessible. There is an overlook behind the center that appears to have been made to be accessible. We have seen rabbits, snakes, and songbirds in the accessible areas. There are a variety of plants and information panels in the area.
I’ve never seen or heard that Jackson Bottom being a place for canoing!
There's a parking lot outside of Jackson bottom wetlands for cars. Vehicles, dogs, and bicycles are not allowed inside the preserve.
