For years I have been a member and only once has someone ever picked up the phone. Now it’s effing impossible. COVID is a lame excuse too cause you have phones on you when you are about. And you were just as bad years ago. WHAT AM I PAYING YOU $56 A MONTH FOR?!?! I have called and called and called. I’ve selected union rep of the day. I’ve selected ALL AND EVERY union representative I can choose from. NO ONE ANSWERED. You either put me to voicemail. You decline on the second ring or just not answer. I NEED HELP.

I left this Union back in May on the 11th to be exact and when I called to let them know I was leaving they didn't say anything about needing to pay the balance of the entire month and now I keep getting letters from them saying I owe them dues for the month of may. I tried to call and get this taken care of and they refuse to remove me from the union or the balance because I worked there after the 5th of May. This is a perfect example of why I absolutely hate unions, All they care about is money and how they can get more out of every employee. I will never be a part of this union or any other again.

Read your rights and responsibilities before spouting off. Fired, no but don't blame them management should tell you if you don't set it up odmr decline it you get suspended, not fired. Also if your situation is something the Union can't help with don't expect them to come running. Get the maual, attend the meetings, get to going on. Oh by the way did you know you can request not to support political campaigns with union dues? Ask not to contribute and the dues will be reduces. Investigate and educate! Management is not supportive in the onboarding process at all!

Bad experience and I noticed one of the Union employees placed a high rating with no review. The fees are required to keep your job but you have the option of not participating and receiving no benefits from the fees that are still required to be paid. In addition, they go out of their way to make signing up for an automatic deduction the most convenient way to pay so instead of getting a paycheck and making decisions about where that money goes, the employees simply never see the money the union claims as it's fee. They don't accept any form of debit or credit card payment only cash, check, or money order in person or by mail. In all, I have found this a very unsatisfactory experience.

To be fair I have seen reps in my store. On a bad note there’s a rep that used to work here that has an obvious conflict of interest. Hoping since new leadership is in we see improvement and willing to give them time.
I’d be very, very wary about this. I was told it’s a combination of age and years worked to draw pension. So if ur 65 and worked in company 20 yrs u can retire and draw pension. BUT I’ve also heard pension underfunded, and realistically u only get a few hundred a month which is not gonna be enough to live on. Plus each contract changes details, so I would urge u not to rely on the pension. It’d be a nice bonus but have a plan that doesn’t require the pension to live on
If working 5 hrs, u get a 15 min break. Otherwise it’s 10 min. Rarely get exactly 5 hours so a typical break is 10 min. Depending on pic u will get slack as to when it starts and ends, since it’s usually unfair to give a 10 min break if it takes 2 minutes to get to an area to actually relax.
Nope. Everyone auto enrolled into same insurance plan. It’s a good plan, but may cause issues if, for example, ur retired military and have a good retirement plan. (Had issues with insurance companies fighting over who pays if u have more than one)
