Don’t live here unless u want a every day headache with loud neighbors guns and condescending staff it’s never there fault even if it is,and they claim they will talk rather than “get abused by teanats”yet they emotionally and verbally abuse there CUSTOMERS?…rats left and right duck pond always has dead ducks car break ins weekly and towing always out to get a quick Buck just like maintenance and management here tread at your own risk!!

The office staff is usually very welcoming and kind. My only complaints is the water. I have been forced to take cold showers, I have realized that I usually have to take a shower in the morning or mid-day to get the hot water, because if I wait until night the water is freezing cold. Second complaint, my neighbor. He or she thinks it is okay to BLAST and I mean BLAST their music all the way up until 2am or 3am, but I guess that’s just what you get living in an apartment. They must be very inconsiderate air heads though, because none of our other neighbors are like that. I will say I love the duck pond and the little scenery over there. It’s a great place to go have a picnic. The apartments themselves are pretty nice. You also have to remember you get what you pay for. I enjoy staying here for the most part. Roaches aren’t that bad in fact it’s rare to see roaches, you just have to keep your apartment clean.

Danielle at the front office is absolutely horrible... total screaming banshee. Take your meds Danielle, better yet, if you hate your job so much please do us all a favor and quit. Tired of listening to your high pitched irrational rants when I have a very simple thing that needs to be done in the apartment.

Don't live here unless you want to deal with constant inconveniences. Ive loved here a little of a year and the water is CONSTANTLY TURNED OFF AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME. Also the place was already falling apart when i moved in. The cabinets, floors, and appliances have probably been here longer than the building itself, because they’re old as hell. The kitchen sink makes LOUD noises that wake you up at 2am. Good luck getting anything fixed because they hardly ever respond to work orders, and if they do its weeks later. Theres NO WHERE TO PARK EVER!!!! Probably the cheapest place you’ll find on the east side, but they still charge way too much given all the issues they have.

Questions & Answers

does management provide me a copy of my lease or do I have to request one ?

Hi Naomi, We provide lease copies during the lease signing/move-in process, but residents can request a copy at any time from the office staff. There should also be a copy attached in your resident portal login, however, some of the leases that were executed with the previous owner/management company may not be uploaded to that system. I'd like to reach out to you directly to ensure you have a copy of your lease, however, in our system I'm not currently showing anyone named Naomi living at the property. Thank you!

how much for a 2 bedroom apartment

Janell SittingHawk | May 12, 2020
Nick Condie | May 13, 2020

Please visit http://www.theretreatnm.com/floorplans.aspx or call 505-299-4485 for current pricing. The price will depend on the size of the 2 bedroom as well as whether it has one or two baths. The Clayton/Clovis floorplans have 1 bathroom, and the Hurley/Huxton plans have 2 bathrooms. Each floor plan comes in slightly different sizes as well. Pricing changes over time, and these questions stay on our Google page forever, so we don't want to post a figure here that may not be accurate in the future.

Is it true the cost went up, but you could break your lease when they changed management.

The rent is going up to meet market value standards. The amount of increase does vary based on what the tenant is paying now. The cost of breaking the lease is $1,000
