My boyfriend and I camped here for 4 days and it was heaven on earth. Great trails, we were right on the creek. Camps are not very close at all. It was very hot that week, bot the canopy of trees kept it cool. Going back every chance we get!!

I haven’t been camping in years. Some friends invited us to go camping on memorial day that Friday kind of a spur of the moment thing right. I went to the first campsite out there everything was full. Went to the second campground everything was full. Just about to give up and came across fall Creek about a 30 minute drive into the forest. There was a single lady and the biggest camp spot there we asked if she would be willing to trade she said absolutely we offered her some things she said nope no need. Came back about three weeks later after having a blast with my friends and my son on his first camping experience with us I went to the first campsite out there everything was full. I've only camped here end of season in Fall. It's been raining off and on so the air is perfect. It's definitely wear a sweater under the rain gear kinda weather. To just sip coffee and wonder on trails by foot it's perfect. Only seen people four times in 24hrs. One guy I heard coming cause his bikes brakes were full of silt so I volunteer to clean em out for him. Now that rains supposed to let up gonna go do a big loop on Mt bike solo for few hours. Definitely pack extra gloves, full rain gear, a hand towel, clear lens glasses to keep eyes clear of mud, and extra water when wet. Itll be a longer trip if u allow all senses to enjoy it. We all have or know people who have crashed hard in wet conditions so use caution.

The Discover Pass is required for each vehicle and costs $30/year ($35 at sub agents). I pick my pass up at the Millersyllvania State Park self-pay station close by. This pass gets your vehicle into all WA state parks and DNR land open to the public. Fall Creek (DNR Land) is 1 of 4 camping areas in that forest. You're allowed to camp for FREE up to a total of 7 nights/year in Capitol Forest; e.g. 3 nights @ Fall Creek + 1 night @ Middle Waddell + 1 night @ Margaret McKenny + 2 nights @ Porter Creek = the 7 nights maximum per year. Camping is on a first come basis; however, sometimes Fall Creek does get reserved for equestrian events. FYI - No potable water, but there are water sources that can be filtered to drink.

How big of a rv can the campsites handle I have a 33 ft motorhome but want to go check it out no-pull behind vehicle sadly

this isn't a great campground for RVs. the sites have small pull-throughs, it's really for tent camping. check out nearby Waddell Creek campgrounds, much more RV friendly.
