Floors were dirty. Someone's toenail clippings were all over the floor. Only one set of towels in our room. Dirty bandaids in hallway. Soap dispenser broken no soaps available. Found someone's socks beside desk area. Housekeeping was horrible.

The stay was just OK, checking in and initial hospitality was wonderful, they let me know the payment process for staying longer term and I as ok with what we agreed upon, (cc holds and payment increments of $500). I noticed the breakfast staff was pleasant and on top of the ball. Others, not so much. I asked for room service three times when I stayed (I would leave for the weekends but keep my things at the hotel) and I only got room service and towels replaced once. Other times I would have to go to the front desk and ask for towels, sheets, toliet paper, paper towels because they were not replaced by the cleaning staff. One time my partner asked the front desk for something and they said hunt down a maid, that's not my job. They didn't have them because of being short staffed and it took unfolding many sets of sheets to find the ones that even fit our bed. The handle of our freezer was broken, one lamp didn't have light bulb, no ice machine on our floor for the whole stay, and no ice machine for 2 weeks anywhere, and the pool was closed the whole 25 days, (they said they were going to reimburse but didn't). The charges were done very odd here as well, since there is no set day that credit card charges are pulled, it will be random amounts, more than once I had to call down and tell them they double charged a hold. I even had an outside hotel manager I know call in to the front desk and ask how they do their holds and how much is taken out if she booked today and they straight up said, I don't know. I would not stay here for the price and the lack of service and amenities. If things were running more smoothly and people had better customer service to answer questions and concerns I would have stayed, but it was not worth the hassle with me being on an already stressful work assignment for the hospital.

We were one of the 13 people who had our room cancelled at the last minute on gradation weekend. Let me tell you our insane story with this hotel. My husband is graduating with his PhD this week, and we booked a room for me, my 3-year-old, and him. I am 7 months pregnant and, several months ago, we weren't even sure that we could go to his graduation because I am having a very high risk pregnancy. We talked to my doctor and called Carle hospital ahead of time, and were comforted by the fact that they have specialists and if I am close by, I would be fine. So we booked. A few days before the reservation, my husband gets an email, (which revealed the email addresses of the 12 other people who were staying there who were also being canceled), canceling our stay. They relocated us to Normal, Illinois an hour away. Well I cannot be one hour from Carle hospital so we were stuck! And we were traveling from 1,000 miles away and we had non refundable plane tickets! We didn't know what to do, and calling the main office didn't help at all! We end up finding the only available room in Champaign that was open at Super 8. They want $900 for 2 nights. We don't have that kind of money just lying around. We already were spending our vacation money on the trip and the first hotel room! My husband was about to miss his graduation and we were going to just lose the money for our plane tickets. But no. I couldn't let that happen. He's a first generation college student. A Marine combat veteran (No I am not making this up!) who went back to school after two tours in Iraq and managed to get a PhD! He is was not missing this! So we are stuck spending $900 for two nights, and we are canceling our trip later in the summer to Great Wolf Lodge that we had promised our 3-year-old. I don't know if we made the right decision, but I am so mad. We are going to try to enjoy this weekend anyways, because he earned it.

Slimy water. Very strange. Everyone on our trip had the same experience. No one knew why. Layout of hotel is very strange and can easily confuse most people..like a maze.. Breakfast was so so, but the gentleman making the breakfast was fantastic and very friendly.
