This Hilton is more like a 3-star hotel. I was only here for one night before my flight from Phoenix. Upon arrival, the staff that checked me in were great. Very friendly. I went to relax by the pool after check in. It was late in the day (after 5pm) and there weren’t many people there. The pool area was trashed with leftover food, plates etc. all over the lounge chairs. So bad to the point that birds were all over the place scrounging for food. It was incredibly unpleasant. Hotel was also noisy at night. I was woken up by noisy guests walking the hallways in the middle of the night. Bathroom was also not throughly cleaned. Overall, this is good if you are just passing through or staying for the night, but I wish I would’ve stayed at one of the nicer “real” resorts up the road.

The staff are all great, no complaints in that department. The premises needs a good deep cleaning, carpets in the room dirty, towels grey, they need to be replaced. The pool area needs power washing, the pool needs a good scrubbing, the outside tables and chairs need to be wiped down daily for they are dusty and dirty. We have stayed at numerous resorts and this Hilton needs to make the cleanliness a priority. It did not feel like home.

The check-in process was smooth until I got to my room. The key didn't work and the light would only turn red. I went back down with my luggage to have the issue resolved. No big deal, mistakes happen. They moved me to a different room, so back up I went. The room looked clean and presentable. I picked this hotel because on the website it said there was a restaurant and room service. However, when I called down to ask about ordering a dinner, they said that room service was only for breakfast and that I'd have to come down to the pool bar for food. The menu was very, very small. They did have gluten free bread though. I ended up ordering their burger and was asked how I like it. I said "medium." The burger came back and the poor thing really can only do well done- it was the same patty that you get in a school lunch or in a hospital. Definitely not what I was expecting from a Hilton resort, and not for the price that they charged. The room was ok, however, I must have been placed right under the AC or something (on the 3rd floor) because every time it turned on, it was a very loud creaking noise that would startle me awake about every hour. I even tried putting ocean waves on my phone to drown out the creaks, but they were too loud. I was disappointed that they didn't leave water in the rooms too. They said that water was available as self-serve behind the check in counter. The next day I attempted their breakfast which didn't have much improvement from the burger. So for dinner, I went and got takeout but got up to my room to find that I needed a fork. I called down to the front desk to ask if they had any extra forks. She said that they did. I asked if I needed to come down to get it. She said, "yes, because that would be considered room service and we only do room service for breakfast." Wow! I was in complete shock! I was under the impression that checkout was at 11am. However, I had housekeeping knocking on my door during the 9:00 hour ready to start cleaning. Definitely the cherry on top to my stay. I hate to leave a poor review, but with so many things that just don't match the expense and reputation of a Hilton Resort in the high-end city of Scottsdale, this was just not okay.

Very nice resort. Friendly, helpful staff. Good food at the on site restaurant. Service is attentive. Prices are reasonable. Property is easy to navigate to and has ample on site parking. The villa I stayed at could use a bit of a refresh to its aesthetic but is certainly sizeable and mostly private, but can hear next door villa talking through the wall of my bedroom.

Yes, but it's small with little shade. The main resort is about a block away. The pool area is much nicer, and had a better bar.
