I unfortunately did not have a chance to stay here but I did book a cabana for the day via resort pass. I looked at quite a few different hotels who offered cabana and day bed rentals and felt The Saguaro was the best deal and still agree with that! There was a food & beverage minimum with the cabana rental (I did know this ahead of time but it was ‘fine print.’) Luckily the wonderful staff (especially Liz!) keep the pitchers coming and the food was delicious…meting the minimum was no problem. My only complaint is that the water was somewhat cloudy, but not concerning. I also completely understand that I was visiting the day after their 4th of July pool party and was satisfied that I could smell pool chemicals/chlorine. Bonus Points: Free Parking, close by Old Town Scottsdale, get the taco trio.

Great central hotel to Old Town, bars and restaurants. Perfect for a girls weekend. We did a conference here too and the team was awesome. Break out snacks and beverage service. We rented a cabana for the meeting the second day and that was a hit with the team - poolside food delivery, AV set up for presentations, and dips in the pool.

With the cost of nearly $400 per night I was expecting something much better, but this place was dirty and obviously tailored to partying guests (maybe if you're drunk you won't notice the squalor?). Walls were stained, towels and sheets were old and smelled of vinegar, and the room was very minimally appointed. I would expect this from a roadside motel, not a supposed 4 star resort. The main pool was filled with drunk young adults with club music blaring all day (could be heard from every corner of the property), but the smaller side pool was much more relaxing. Don't stay here if you're not on a bachelor party trip.

Booked two rooms here in one building as part of a wedding. One was suppose to be a king, the other a double room. They put us both in two separate buildings. They messed up our reservation. The front desk was not helpful at all, lacked professionalism. The rooms themselves were disgusting and dirty, not close to resort quality, more so motel. Floors were dirty, stained and not even vacuumed. I didn’t even want to take my shoes off. Different colored light bulbs in the lamps. There were stains on the curtains against the walls. Both chairs in the room were covered in stains. The bathroom was dirty, covered in soap scum and rust in the tub with a leak! The one room had a strong mildew smell to it. Our city view king room was ground level and the terrace was just a view of a cement wall. Went to the front desk to address these issues, someone was suppose to come from house keeping to see the room and put me in a different room. No one ever showed up, I ended up going to the front desk and cancelling both rooms. The hotel itself is very outdated and actually dirty. The reviews below were right on the money, make sure to read the bed bug review posted a few weeks ago!!! Went right across the street to stay at the Hilton, they were very accommodating and professional.

No in-house shuttle. But, Uber/Lyft are great options.
The hotel pool is technically open to guests of the hotel only, unless they have a special event open to the public.
The rooms are nice: older hotel with modern, earthy, "Zen" type features. Bright colors and funky decorations - very unique.
To get y o front desk to check in is stairs
