Very nice and new but very long lines but hey it's worth it going to Coupeville Home town proud.

It's a clean and beautiful train station right by the Sound. It feels elevated by the architecture of the Mukilteo ferry terminal. We waited at the terminal to watch the freight trains pass by. You can take the Sounder train from downtown Seattle to Mukilteo to view and admire the coastline, then ride the bus back or stay overnight, then take the Sounder back to Seattle in the morning (Sounder travels south weekday mornings and north in the evenings).

Questions & Answers

Is overnight parking allowed? 2 nights? What are the chances of finding a spot this evening to park for the weekend?

No, permitted commuter parking only. No chance you'll find weekend parking that close to the ferry. Best bet is to look for paid lots on Mukilteo Speedway and take a bus down to the ferry.

Are all parking stalls generally taken by the first daily train departure on weekdays in Mukilteo, since there are only 60 or so stalls?

Yes. The parking space go quickly. I'd take the Sounder much more frequently if there were more spots.
