We stayed here for 4 nights in June 2022 as part of a nearly 2-week vacation through Colorado and various other states. While this was one of the pricier hotels throughout this trip, it was on par with other "2-star" rated hotels in Durango. Taking that into consideration, it was also one of the best stays we had during that time. The hotel is in the "south" part of the town, meaning there is a short drive north to downtown or other attraction. But I prefer this as it also means it's much quieter and less traffic. Just far away from the highway and other events, it's a great place to chill out and get some sleep. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, hot water with solid pressure, service was good, and breakfast was above average. As they included a good variety of hot foods, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, pastries, muffins, cereal, coffee, and other such items. Overall, great stay, no issues.

Positive: What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location.Super clean including common areas. We even took pictures of the tables in their reception area. Breakfast good. Staff friendly. Downtown has great places to eat and shop. We tried Derailed downtown. Negative: There was nothing not to like. Best LA Quinta hands down.

We had an awesome stay at this hotel. Alex was super friendly and helpful when we checked in. Room had everything we needed and was clean. The continental breakfast was yummy. Carol at the front desk in the morning was very nice, friendly and receptive.

Room was nice & breakfast was awesome BUT I reserved through a 3rd party site & I already paid taxes & fees. When I checked in they said I paid everything but a few days after I checked out, LA Quinta charged me $21. I called them & they said it was because of taxes. They should've told me this when I checked in & not after I left and was in a different state.
