Total slum lords. The maintenance does NOTHING. The apartments are full of mold. Lots of bug issues. Warped floors, everything was broken. I provided plenty of notice I was moving yet they tried to charge me a full month of rent. Odd when for so long nothing was fixed & my husband fell through our balcony. That had “just been inspected.”

If anyone is thinking of leasing at this complex, please read this review (I know, it’s a lengthy one). The incompetence of this place knows no bounds. My partner and I applied here early August of 2021 and started the application process at the end of that month. The process of filling out paperwork should take a few days max, but it took us over a month and a half. We don’t live close to the area, so we had to email everything back and forth to the office. We would call regularly to check up on our application/make sure they received the proper documents, but they almost never answered (unless it was an hour before closing). They were very slow to the emails as well, sometimes we wouldn’t hear anything until days later. I understand the office only has two staff members and are incredibly busy, but our application process took a MONTH. Many times we would receive an email with documents that had incorrect names, addresses, or other information on it. We would ask them to correct this, and they would send it back with another error. This happened several times. One of the women even told us to “just cross it off” and fix it ourselves. This made me not trust the competence of the staff. In this time, the office gave us a move-in date and even emailed us a link to create a tenant portal (where tenants pay for rent). They kept insisting our move-in date was secure and we were good to go. Because of this, I put in my two weeks to transfer to a different job near the complex. Near our move-in date they let us know the unit needed a new fridge and bathtub, and we wouldn’t be able to move-in. Meanwhile, our paperwork still wasn’t approved by compliance and we couldn’t move in until that was finished as well. When confronting the two staff members over the phone and expressing our frustrations, the community manager was audibly annoyed. She said, in essence, “We gave you the option of another unit, now that option is gone.” I explained to her that we cannot move into ANY unit because their compliance staff member hadn’t approved the paperwork yet. At this remark, she was even more annoyed and had nothing else to tell me. The few times they would answer the phone, the staff would just tell us “we don’t know” to any question we had. It is my understanding that it is their JOB to answer inquiries about units and the move-in process. Just two days ago they finally email us right before closing that they cannot proceed with our move-in. We were at this back-and-forth process for almost a month and a half now. When insisting they wasted our time and asking for a reason for our sudden denial, the manager said our “verifications were found not valid.” She further said that they “do not know the outcome of an application until it’s been submitted to compliance.” With that being said, I’m not quite sure why these people gave us a move-in date and supplied us with a tenant portal if the outcome “wasn’t decided yet.” The staff made us believe this unit was ours and made almost no effort to ensure it was. They strung us along with false promises and were incredibly difficult to work with. It’s my belief that we were denied because the incompetent staff supplied compliance with incorrect paperwork that had constant errors. We were conned big time. Save your money, your sanity, and your time. There’s some place better. To the soulless, cookie-cutter response from the owner: Please hire new staff or ensure the current staff doesn’t let something like this happen again.

I've been trying to get into this apartment complex for ALMOST 3 years and have REALLY felt discriminated against ESPECIALLY over the last couple months if not longer. This is supposed to be life income and help people who are homeless especially or close to it. I've got doctors telling me I NEED to get out of what I'm living in which is a broken-down motorhome with no running water, only partial electricity and no heat and leaks REALLY bad. It's got black mold in it and things are falling down and apart. My husband passed away in here not long ago and now the doctors are afraid I'll be next if I don't get out. They used to be a first come first serve then out of the blue went to a waiting list. I've applied and had questions and needed to fix my application but I get no replies. They say in the email to get on the waiting list and I saw not place to do that. I've asked over and over how to do this and NOBODY replies. Do they not want someone with steady income even though it's disability to live there??? What is this world coming to??? I've found this happen at lots of these low income apartments. I guess they want more people living like I am out in a tent or car. Lord please help these people and help me find a home.

I really like these apartments for being low income. The bad news is that the apartments are very old so on rainy days the water falls straight on our items like being under the shower from our patio ceiling , it sheds debris and mold. The appliances are very old and my stove is falling apart sinced i moved in 2017, but I did get a new refrigerator it took about six months and about a hundred calls to the office. The pool and hot tub are very yucky to go in and the water does not get replaced but instead waits for PH levels to be right so people can go back to its same nasty water. Also, tenants won't use common sense and bring a dog to swim in the pool so, I wouldn't doubt that baby's with diapers go in the pool and hot tub. Maintenance guy said kids have a right to go in the hot tub which I don't approve since they were always used by adults and maybe young teens. But this is just my personal opinion. Just because we are low income we don't need to live like ghetto or treated like one. The rent is perfect and some people are kind here. But, careful when your family visit, for office staff can accuse you and turn it around against you saying that your neighbor told them they all live here with you and also give you the name of the neighbor who told them. I have a large family who visit from out of town, we are all entitled to have company. Also, my bike was stolen from my patio so we can't always trust neighbors. The good is that we are across the Olympia mall and there are many stores and this is perfect. So there are pros and cons when it comes to living in these apartments. So, I am here to make a difference as a tenant and neighbor. I believe if we all put a little of our part including management, we can make Crown Pointe Apartments a better living place and have less complaints towards management if they keep up with their work orders for there is no excuse why they delay on repairs, if they ever get fix. . Have a nice renting experience and take care of your apartment like if it is your property.
