I was thoroughly impressed with our stay at the Historic Summit Inn. The staff was amazing and helpful. I was half expecting the rooms to be run down from reviews I have read but we saw the insides of two rooms during our stay and both were exactly what they should be. eating on the Veranda was more than charming. The hotel succeeds in providing a charm of years past in feel and decor. I would stay there again in a minute if ever traveling to southwest Pennsylvania.

We spent a few nights here and have to say it was average at best. The hotel itself was kinda cool, a little run down. The pool area was very nice and the view was very pretty. The room unfortunately was less than average. Pretty disappointing. We went the beginning of June and couldn't believe everything closed between 7-9pm. The first night we ate at the hotel. Food was okay but for the price we paid I expected a lot better. The second night we had to drive into Uniontown to eat because everything closed so early. We got back by 9pm and the hotel bar was closed! If you need towels you have to see the front desk, if you need to get into the souvenir shop you need to see the front desk. Lol That was our little inside joke the whole time "see the front desk". On a positive note the staff were extremely nice.

Good food , very good service , it was busy so waited a little for the food but it was very good. It was for my fathers Fathers Day Dinner and he was totally pleased! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful! Original and kept up very well!

Love this place! A must visit if you have never been. If you come you will probably be back! Big old well maintained hotel. Lots of history. Much attention to detail seems to be a theme! The water is spring fed . They still use keys, it's like walking into days gone by. Please don't change a thing! Food is always good and reasonably priced. Eating on the veranda with it's amazing views just tops off our stay! It's probably a great place to work , the staff seems pretty happy. Good luck for another 100+ years.

Sara Swaney | May 10, 2019

The packages they offer change/update from year to year. It’s best to call and ask, and they can give you the best info on the packages currently offered. I do believe this year, 2018 they offer a package for the FLW houses and also a Lady Luck Casino package.

Do you have handicap accessible rooms and bathrooms? I have viewed over 100 photos on your site and I don't see any handicap bathrooms. Nor do I see a ramp for a wheelchair to use when entering your Inn. Thx.

Claire A. | May 9, 2019
Sara Swaney | May 10, 2019

Yes, there is a ramp that is accessible through the side parking lot, which enters through the ball room, which lets you walk/wheel into the lobby, restaurant, lounge, bar, and onto the veranda. There is a first floor hallway with rooms, a few are handicap. If you don’t need a handicap room but have trouble walking up stairs, when you make a reservation let them know and they can book you on the first floor, or on the second floor in the back of the hotel, which you can enter through a door way in the upper lot without going up or down any stairs, as long as you park in the upper lot and enter through that back doorway.
