The Garden Courte staff has helped my sister make the transition so beautifully. The staff's encouragement, dedication to fun activities that have catered to her interests and support over the past nine months have helped my sister thrive and adjust. I love to see her smiling in the Sagely emails that update me on her daily activities 7 days a week. A recent visit showed me how engaged she is with others and her willingness to be involved. It takes a village and I am so grateful for Garden Courte!

This facility was a disaster for my mom. We relocated her after only two months. I think the higher functioning side of GC is great, but the other side for more intensive care was beyond awful. They moved my mom from one side to the other, placing her in a storage room without our knowledge (multiple covid lockdowns prevented visits) she was alone, without personal items, no water, no assistance eating, lost her wedding ring ( she had it on only because it was too tight to remove) She lost nearly 25 lbs while in their ‘care’. Drastically under staffed. We found massive bruises from being transferred inappropriately. She fell, bouncing off an inner spring mattress placed by her bed to ‘protect her’ She had a head wound that was not attended to properly. I can’t say enough about how awful our experience was. Beware

Please do not put your loved ones here. I worked here less than a week and saw a mountain of serious issues I brought to the attention of the management (who were also part of the problems) Small list of issues to startle you. No masks worn properly on %99 of staff and management 1 day later Covid spread through the place and 7 got sick and 1 died. No hand sanitizer available for staff Dirty briefs and wipes being put on the floor Gloves being used improperly, hands not being washed regularly Staff not being able to take 2 15min breaks in a day Clients pressing the help buttons only to be gotten to 20 mins later On the advanced Alzheimer’s side pee puddles on the ground seriously toxic staff who talk about the clients as if they don’t understand. Please don’t work or give them more clients to abuse

This is a wonderful memory care facility. My grandma had a super rapid decline (from living in her home to in this facility in two weeks) and Garden Court was super helpful in transitioning her to the memory care lifestyle. After a full day visiting my grandma at the hospital and talking to the social worker, it was determined that only two places would consider taking my grandmother, who was incontinent, wheelchair bound and showing signs of severe dementia (and was diagnosed with terminal cancer). Garden Court was the first recommendation and across the street from the hospital, so my family and I decided to stop by after the hospital visit (and after business hours) to just check out the place and see if we could make an appointment to talk to them. To our surprise, we were able to meet with the admissions people and get a tour of the facility and they got the ball rolling on possibly getting my grandmother transitioned that night. They were very upfront on the scope of care they provided, who thrived in their facility, and how they determined the level of care. They were able to determine the proper amount of care for my grandmother and admit her when almost no one else would and my family is very grateful for that. Now, my grandmother has been at the facility for about two weeks and she is getting the around the clock care she needs and has many social opportunities and activities that she never had while living at home. The staff is very attentive and they all seem to really care about the residents here. I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs to place their loved one in memory care. PS In response to DL Reeves' review: they do like their residents to be on proper medication so that they have the best quality of life and especially if they exhibit behaviors that are dangerous to the staff or other patients. Edit: I just wanted to thank Garden Court for their kind response. I also wanted to briefly finish out my grandmother’s story. My grandmother lived out her days at Garden Court, and was a resident for about four months after her initial admission. My parents and I visited her pretty much every day and it was wonderful to see her with a little schedule every day of different meals and activities. Garden Court was able to help my grandmother live out the rest of her days with the best life possible. Along the way, we were also able to get to know some familiar faces of other residents and staff members, and it really started to feel like a little community while visiting. When it came time for my grandmother to pass in the August of 2018, Garden Court was very helpful in keeping her comfortable and out as much pain as possible. They helped with the coordination of my grandmother’s end of life care at a very stressful time. They were also able to accommodate my family so that at least one of us could be at her bedside 24/7 in her last few days. Because of that she was able to pass with family by her side. My family is grateful to Garden Court for providing support and wonderful care for my grandmother at the end of her life. It made a huge difference during a very uncertain time.
