Car ready and ontime. Staff was friendly and even went above and beyond to return my daughter's VIP pass from the concert we attended the night before. Grateful for that. Will use them again for sure.

Scheduled a rental. Ended up buying a new personal car so I ended up canceling my rental 4 days prior to picking op rental. I requested a refund minus the $50 cancellation fee. They said it would take 5-7 business days. Never got the refund. Called back again and talked to someone and they re did the refund and they said it would take ANOTHER 5-7 business days. It’s now 2.5 weeks later and I still have not received my refund. I am not happy that I keep getting the run around and now since it’s mandatory to pay with your credit card and it’s taking them forever to refund me the money I now have to pay interest on the full amount! I do not recommend renting from them unless it’s 100% guaranteed your using a rental. It should not take 3 weeks to get a refund for something I never picked up!

Reserved car online and pre-paid with debit card (1st mistake). Didn’t know they would put additional $200 hold on my card AND run a credit check. Ok, fine. They show me the car I’ve paid for and the tires were almost bald. Unacceptable. Then they bring another car around and the tires look no better. I took pictures of the tires. No offer to upgrade my vehicle to something they had in better condition for our long trip (driving from Akron to Charlotte, NC). I told the young lady there if she was my daughter I would not be comfortable letting her drive a car with tires that looked this bad. She threw Mr. Tire under the bus, saying all vehicles are inspected there (I’ll never go there either after this). So, obviously I’m not taking these sad cars they offered me. Somehow Hertz was able to remove the $200 hold on my debit card but they “could not refund my rental since I pre-paid with my debit card.” They gave me the 800 number and told me to call. Ok. Over the next 7 days I called the 800 number 5 times, waiting on hold for nearly 30 minutes each time with no answer. Usually the calls ended up just being dropped. I also tried to fill out out the online form to submit and it kept getting bounced back with a error 504 or 505 message. Finally I did a google search and found an actual email address and I sent a message. They responded within a few days, apologized, and said they would refund my money and give me an additional credit to use in the future. I’m still waiting on that refund, but the process of getting to this point was one of the most cumbersome and frustrating experiences I’ve dealt with.

You have to have a credit card to reserve and put deposit on, but then pay with debit card upon return.
Yes they do accept major credit cards. Call them for more specific answers.
The location on brittain rd doe not have shuttle service-rentals only
